This is a classic film based upon a true story, unlike the musical the king and I, it gives you a much better insight into the historical background of the film. As you would expect Jodie Foster gives an excellent performance as the main character Anna. My only criticism of the film is that ot takes a little time to get going and is definately a film for women-a chick flick- a good film to rent for a girls night in with a takeaway and worth buying if you are a real Jodie Foster fan like nmyself.
