My ... ...catching to customers who are looking for a movie to watch, I personally think that DVD covers sell the product or a least help a huge amount to it. The movie was a bit to long for me, some might even say boring. There was only one extra on this DVD, I hoped there would of been more, ie what the actors felt for their characters, and did they enjoy playing the roles and what about deleted scenes ?
The movie opens with a big road pile up accident, and Sharon ( a Chicago cop ) helping people and a man in a car. One year later she is with some other cops having breakfast at a cafe, when a car pulls up and starts shooting at them, and then drives away but they crash into another car and run off in foot . Mean while a couple of cops got shot, Sharon and her partner run after them they catch one, but Sharon runs after the other one alone, when her partner told not to. While she is looking for him, he jumps off a ledge and knocks her to the ground and shoots her twice in the chest. As Sharon is looking point blank at the scum bag's gun, he's about to pull the trigger when a mysterious stranger appears knocking the gun out his hand and tackles him to the ground saving her life. Sharon's partner arrives and arrests the man, while Sharon rips her shirt and bullet proof vest off to see what the damage is, she looks up and See's the man staring at her. Sharon is out with her cop friends at a diner, when she comes out the ladies toilets she see the man who saved her life and goes over to him, they begin to talk about everything and nothing. When they leave the diner Sharon offers Catch a ride home at first he declines then accepts. So Sharon takes him to her apartment to have coffee then as he is about to leave they kiss. They both learn things about each other, like Catch is a gentleman, shy, doesn't talk much, lonely and she remembers him from the horrible accident a year ago who she helped. While Catch learns that Sharon is not the tough cop she makes out she is, she is actually very vulnerable and lonely. They was made for each other.
Catch has kept a deliberate distance between himself and a tragedy that Sharon had witnessed, a devastating loss where he lost his wife and son which he blames on himself because he was driving. Will he forgive himself ?and visit their graves to feel peace ? And will he give Sharon and himself ago which the fates brought them ? Sharon who never dates and is a no frill kind of girl also has a sad past, incident of domestic violence where her dad was hitting her mother, so she reported him and that left her estranged from her family. Will she ever make it up to her family ?
Sharon and Catch have met once before. As the two fall in love, they discover the truth about each other and are forced to deal with the secrets from their past. They are both stubborn, lonely, sad and angry, they would be perfect for each other. But will they get together ? That's another question.
I have watched movies with Jennifer Lopez before, but I'm sorry but I can't think of her as a actress. As a singer yes she's got a great voice and her songs are catchy and hip. This movie changed my opinion of her as a actress, she was great in this. Jennifer Lopez is a girlie girl and you never really she her without makeup on, this movie was great her acting like a tomboy, tough, strong and someone you don't want to mess with. This is by far the best movie she has done.
James Caviezel ( my favorite actor ) has many talents, and in this he is a haunted loner, with a creepy demeanour, a cautious man who never seems to get mad and is always trying to help and care for people. He was perfect for the part, he did the talking, emotions and mysterious spot on. Because you are wondering what is wrong with him, and why is he acting that way.
What I loved about this is the plot, actors with great chemistry, the way they filmed it especially the flashbacks and with such tenderness, and love. It was also filmed with emotional minefields while acknowledging the walls that people build between themselves and the traumatic events they wish to forget. Catch and Sharon is dealing with their own past and trying to make amends and the new and exciting relationship going on between them, that brings more heartache and trouble for them to deal with.
Here are some of the actors movies, Jennifer Lopez ( The Cell, Shall We Dance and Monster-in-Law ) James Caviezel ( Frequency, Highwaymen and The Passion of the Christ ) Jeremy Sisto ( Thirteen, Wrong Turn and In Enemy Hands ) Terrence Howard ( Hart's War, Crash and Four Brothers ) and many, many more fine actors.
The soundtrack was Excellent, two especially come to mind which are the Angel Eyes song by Tamara Walker and the main title music by Marco Beltrami it just floats around and is so peaceful it leaves you in such a great mood. I also think this is a very romantic slow dance song. The soundtrack has 13 songs on it, some of the artist's are, Leann Rimes, Johnny Nash, Mary Black, Jon Hassell with Ronu Majumdar and many more. The CD last for more then 40 minutes so well worth the money.
My dislike are the DVD cover, it's plan and not eye catching to customers who are looking for a movie to watch, I personally think that DVD covers sell the product or a least help a huge amount to it. The movie was a bit to long for me, some might even say boring. There was only one extra on this DVD, I hoped there would of been more, ie what the actors felt for their characters, and did they enjoy playing the roles and what about deleted scenes ?
So I loved this movie very much, I would so it was a Drama / Romance / family movie. It was not predictable in a way that they meet and live happy ever after, they had to first believe in themselves and try to redeem things from their past to move toward to a life together. It was refreshing, unique, and a tender love story of two people fated to be together.
Watch with your eyes, see with your heart and experience the remarkable tenderness of two people fated for each other.

Advantages: Potentially moving human relationship story, J Lo looks nice, not as bad as people say Disadvantages: Sure, it isn't a great film...
...had been the case with Angel Eyes I probably wouldn't have bothered watching it (3 of the 4 reviews are very negative). As it was, I saw a trailer about an hour before it came on Channel 4 one Sunday night and, with not much else to do, thought I might as well give it a watch.
It was only after I checked the reviews, and I'm surprised how negative they are. Sure, this is hardly a *great* film. It's not one I'm telling you that you *must* see. I'm ... ...The film stars Jennifer 'J Lo' Lopez as a cop, Sharon Pogue. Now admittedly, this was perhaps stretching things a bit. I mean, her character's almost too perfect - the only policewoman we really see, but you get the impression she's top cop, able to hang in the bar with the other guys, beat them in a fight, and look pretty damn gorgeous while doing it.
Ok, I admit it was her I first noticed about the film. She does have a good slim and blonde look, ...

Advantages: acting is not THAT bad, bit of action Disadvantages: plot, film ending, no twists
I should firstly explain that I watched this film because: Amy and I had a time gap. We did not know what was on, when it was on, just that the cinema was open. The choice was this, Rush Hour Two and Josie And The Pussycats. I said that I would normally just go for the film with the higher rating normally when stuck, so we did. This being a fifteen certificate.
Being twelve o’clock or something stupid on a Sunday morning the choice was not ... ...into the Peterborough cinema we were confronted with four other people. We made our way to the far end of the screen and plonked our tourist bags down.
The adverts and trailers passed and we settled down to get drawn into what was hoped would be an epic film. After all, Lopez does those films all the time… yeah? Labelled as a romantic drama (stop laughing), I thought the drama would be good for me, the romantic bit good for the female half. ...

Advantages: The cast are easy on the eye Disadvantages: Weak plot, poor direction
There seems to be much talk about whether or not Queen Diva Jennifer Lopez can cut it as an actress. I have to say that I have watched her in a few films and not thought that she was terrible, and I could probably name another 10 well paid Hollywood actresses who I think are inferior to her. I am sure she will never win any Oscars, but she entertains, and that is what her job is, so up to now I have no complaints about her performance on the big ... ...no means am I her number one fan, but I find her pretty inoffensive, but anyway onto the film.
The film is a drama with a touch of romance, so by default does that make it a romantic drama, or a dramatic romance? You decide! On first glance, the cast list seems to be pretty promising, obviously the lead name is Lopez herself, and the male lead is Jim Caviezel, who most recently starred in 'The Count Of Monte Cristo'. Lopez plays Sharon Pogue, a ...

Advantages: Not very much, Isuppose if you are a bloke you will like looking at JLO, but apart from that!! Disadvantages: Lots see op.
My hubby bought this film home on DVD last weekend, he was recommended it by the person who worked in the video shop. My hubby actually enjoyed this film but that was probably just the star Jennifer Lopez.
As well as Jennifer Lopez this film does have a good cast which include Jim Caviezel, Sonia Braga, Victor Argo, Terrence Howard, Jeremy Sisto and Shirley Knight amongst others none of which I remember seeing in anything else but all actors in ... ...it stars Jennifer I suppose you would like to know about her character, well she plays a tough cop from Chicago called Sharon.
Sharon has nothing in her life, no family, prospects and basically no life, during the beginning of this film she is just starting to realise this. Sharon, being such a great cop, has saved loads of lives and just by chance ((yeah!!)) One of these lives re-enters her life and actually saves her from being shot dead, but ...

ANGEL EYES
============
I had to see this film because of it having Jennifer Lopez in it as showed promise when she was in the cell and being one for checking out follow ups to up and coming actresses that I like for there acting and as I am not one for going to the cinema that often I decided to go and get it and I am so glad that I did.
The film is a mixture of styles in that it has some romance and some drama as well as some action akin to ... ...is not any one of them.
The film starts with a rolling camera shot around a cold autumn like dark night with bad weather and is set on a bridge where a very bad accident has happened and you can here sirens from all directions from many police and ambulance units it then centres around one vehicle where we see Sharon Pogue, (Lopez) a policewoman, at the scene trying to keep somebody conscious. By talking to them and trying to make them think and ...

A heart warming rags to riches love story garunteed to bring a tear to your eye, with an all star cast. The story of how a hooker Vivien ward (played by oscar award winning Julia Roberts) enters the life of billionaire Edward Lewis (played by the ever handsome Richard Gere). The pair meet with a chance encounter when a lost Edward pulls over to ask Vivien for directions, from then the pair enter into a buisness arrangement, that Edward will pay Vivien to act as his girlfriend whilst hes in town for the week. Then the obvious happens they fall in love, with twists and turns along the way will the two ever get together for real? This film brings a tear to my eye everytime. With this dvd you also get the special features, an audio commentry with director Garry Marshall, the pretty woman tour in Los Angeles, bloopers reel and lots more ...

The Characters/Cast
*************************
I suppose the real star of the film has to be Christopher Walken who plays Gabriel. Well it is his name that is blazed across the front of the DVD box. And rightly so. He plays the angel with a dry wit and an evil glint in his eye. I cannot see him in another film without expecting him to put his finger to his mouth to ?Shush? whoever is talking.
Thomas, our hero, is played by Elias Koteas, who I don?t recall seeing in anything else before or after this but according to some sources (IMDB.com) he was in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as Casey Jones, who wears a mask, and loads of other films I have never seen, so that explains that! He plays Thomas with a kind ...

DVD Description
Jennifer Lopez stars as tough Chicago cop Sharon Pogue in Luis Mandoki's ANGEL EYES. Sharon gives no quarter to the criminals on her beat. She's all too ready to beat up any lowlife who treats her disrespectfully. Sharon grew up in an abusive household, and this is the root of her anger. Catch (Jim Caviezel) has his own trauma to deal with. He's a drifter, seemingly connected to nothing and no one. But he suddenly becomes focused one day when he spots Sharon at a coffee shop. When she rushes headlong into a potentially fatal situation, he's there to save her. This odd, quiet, mysterious man intrigues her, and they begin to take tentative steps toward a relationship. Sharon discovers that Catch is dealing with a tragic past, and in his efforts to escape his pain, he's lost everything--even his identity. ANGEL EYES is a sensitive, intelligent, and touching romantic drama about two people struggling to connect despite tremendous odds. The film is surprising in small ways, in its telling details, its gentle humor, and in the subtly effective performances of its stars--Lopez, Caviezel, and especially Sonia Braga, in an uncharacteristically fragile performance as Sharon's abused mother.
