I'm surprised to see that no one has ever reviewed this movie, so many movies from Bollywood have been reviewed but not a single review about this movie. So I'm writing, hope you like it.

Plot:
Amar is son of a barber Murli Manohar, Amar does nothing apart from dreaming and spending his father's hard earned money just like that. His father is a barber and cuts people hairs for 10Rs, but Amar goes to big saloon and spends 300Rs on his hair cut. He just dreams of becoming a rich man with a short cut and don't wont to work hard.
In some other part of India there is Prem who is son of a Tailor, Prem wants to be a film actor. So he also does nothing apart from spending his Dad's money. Johnny is a photographer who is fooling Prem that he will make him a star.
There is a hot news in newspaper that Raveena Bajaj daughter of Ram Gopal Bajaj who is based in London, she is coming to India to marry a Indian guy and he will automatically become rich and get Raveena's wealth. Seeing this news both Amar & Prem sell their fathers shop and go to woo Raveena so that they become rich.
Here comes Teja (Shyam Gopal Bajaj) twin brother to Ram Gopal Bajaj, earlier Teja was disowned by their father as his intention were good, as he tried to kill his father for money. And he was sent to jail, he is on the run now and wants to take revenge and all the money from Ram Bajaj who has converted all his money in Diamonds. So he plants to of his men's Bhalla & Robert as the manager of the house where Raveena & her secretary Karishma are going to stay.
There is Crime Master Gogo, who is an underworld Don and is after Teja, he wants to recover his money from Teja.
From here the story progresses, will Amar/Prem be able to woo the girls? Will Teja succeed in his intention? Will Crime Master Gogo get his money from Teja? All this can be none once you watch this laughter ride…..
Music:
The music is given Tushar Bhatia about whom I don't know anything, but the music is really pleasant. As the movie is comedy the songs in this movie are fun to hear and also the videos are funny. All the song from 'Do Mastane Chale Zindagi Banane' - when Salman & Aamir meet for the first time is funny and very good. 'Yeh Raat Aur yeh doori' where Salman tries to woo Raveena 'Ello Ji sanam hum aa gaye' - where Aamir express his love to Raveena Are all really good.
My Analysis:
I didn't watch this movie in theatre but watched on a Video Cassette in 1996, and was really impressed by the movie and bought the Cassette. But I was shocked when I heard that this movie flopped on Box Office, and frankly speaking I don't know the reason for it. In fact whoever has seen this movie will agree to me, and I believe that almost every one who watches Bollywood movie must have watched this one and would be a fan of this movie. I felt may be the movie was not promoted well at the time of release. Its countless the number of times I have watched this movie, even today when I feeling like laughing I start this movie, everyone in my family, friends are a fan of this movie. I have a copy of Video Cassette, CD, DVD of this movie. I'm not exaggerating but have watched this movie nearly 100 times and can watch it many a times.
I and all my friends have all the dialogues of this movie on tip of our tongue, we use to use it almost everyday in our life in college days, it's so funny. This movie is a laugh ride from the moment it starts till it ends, not a single place it losses its pace and you will cry laughing. I'm not sure whether it will have the same impact if you watching it & trying to understand with Subtitles, but I'm sure that just by seeing the action you will laugh. And if you like Bollywood movies you should definitely give a try to this movie.
All the scenes from this movie are funny, but just to point out a few
- Where Amar discusses with his dad how they can become rich, if his father sells their shop and give him money so that he can marry Raveena.
- When Johnny makes fool of Prem saying that he will make him a superstar.
- When Amar & Prem meet for the first time, and try to praise each other saying how rich they are.
- The scene where Amar & Prem make every other person run away who have come to propose to Raveena.
- The police station scene where both Amar & Prem trying to send them in Jail, so that one is free and can woo Raveena.
- Where Teja trying to shoot Raveena with a gun
And many more scenes, and in fact every scene of the movie.
Performances by every character is just brilliant and everyone was cast rightly for this movie.
Aamir Khan is simply great, we all know that he is an actor of great class and is know as perfectionist. He does everything perfect, whether its comedy, action, Romance etc. His timing is excellent and in this movie he is shown someone who is smart, intelligent, wicked etc. He has performed it really well and you laugh every time, his facial expressions are brilliant. His most say dialogue in this movie is Jhakaas & Aaila.
Salman Khan is funny, known one else could have performed this role apart from him, he plays a role of a guy who is not that smart and can be easily fooled. Aamir fools him many times, by having food and tea on his money saying that 'Do Dost ek pyale mein Chai piyenge, isse pyar badta hai' means two friends will drink tea in one cup, due to which friendship will grow stronger. Raveena Tandon & Karishma Kapoor have done a good job, their role had nothing much to offer as the other leads and actors had all the comic dialogues. So they did justice to their part.
Paresh Rawal as sophisticated Ram Bajaj is really good who wants everything on time, and also as Teja the criminal who fav dialogue is tere 'Patte Bhicha doonga'. Teja is always let down by hi skey man Bhalla & Robert who are good for nothing. Paresh Rawal is a great actor and you will love his criminal character. In fact the one dialogue which he says in the movie is really hilarious when his key man give him a gun saying this gun is of Vasco digama and he ask Kiske Mama Ki ' Mama means Uncle'.
Shehzad khan speaks in his fathers (One of the great Bollywood Villain Ajit) ascent and is really funny, he always says to Teja you don't worry and I'l take care of everything.
Viju khote is brilliant, he acts as an assistant to Bhalla and always make mistake in whatever he does. So he always says one thing which I just love ' Galti se Mistake ho Gaya' here Galti means Mistake and he says he has done a mistake by mistake.
Shakti Kapoor as crime master Gogo is also funny, you will laugh every time he comes on screen and says any dialogue. He wants to recover his money from Teja and everytime he meets Teja man he take whatever they and tells them to tell Teja to give his money. The dialogue he says when ever he takes anything from them is 'Aaya Hun kuch toh loot ke jaunga' means I have come so will take something.
Rest all of the supporting characters are good and have done full justice to their part.
Rajkumar Santoshi has done a brilliant job, I have seen his movies and all of them are really good. But as far as I know this is only movie by him which is comedy rest all are like action, drama etc..so quite unusual from him. But don't know why he didn't made any comedy after this one.
Also there is a small suspense in this movie.
Recently there is a news that Salman & Aamir are keen on making a sequel to this movie and have told Rajkumar Santoshi to come up with a good script. And everyone is just waiting for this sequel to come.
On the whole it's a movie which you should Beg, Borrow or Steel. You will enjoy every moment I'm sure.
Hope you like it, thanks for reading.

Andaz Apna Apna- story of two "good for nothing"guys set out to marry a rich businessman's daughter, to acquire all the property, is easily the most favorite comedy to come out of bollywood. Ask 10 people about their favorite bollywood comedy, and 9 would answer andaz apna apna(another favorite is hera pheri). Bringing two Khans together for the only time, when they were still young, this film bombed at the box office but later picked up in dvd sales ... ...doesn't take much time for the fun to start, the characters are established as two completely silly and lost people, wandering in life, dreaming to become rich and famous someday. But with very close to zero intelligence, the only way seems to marry a rich girl and inherit the business. Its not only how they go about to marry the heir, but also the story and the confusion which follows. The script is wacky, and the characters over the top and fun!THe ...
