This is amazing.

If you love Egypt and its history, this is definitely a DVD for you. If you love the Hollywood movies, then you should see this, just to see the truth about Imhotep!

There are 8 dvds in the series, and this is the first one, and in my opinion the BEST!

The running time is 50 minutes, and it is exempt from classification, due to being a documentary!

There are no special features on this DVD, as it was originally a series shown on the Discovery Channel, and they have just stuck it on DVD and sold it as it was, although you can still choose which scene to start at.

Out of all of the legends from Egypts history, Imhotep is currently the most popular with Hollywood (The Mummy, was based on Imohtep!)

The running theme through this documentary is the search for Imhoteps tomb. Many times people have thought they have discovered it, and have been sadly disappointed.

Imhotep was not only the high priest, he was also the father of medicine. He realised the potential of items like honey, which he would rub on wounds to sterilise them!

It was over 2000 years after his death that he was considered to be a God, and even today there are suggestions that he was the worlds first genius.

Imhotep was also the first architect of the Pyramids, They originally used Mastaba's (flat square buildings) to bury there dead, but he wanted to prolong life into the afterworld and believed the pyramid shape could help him do it. This was a strong belief for thousands of years after his death!

You can learn so much from this, and I was on the edge of my seat all the way through.

The ending was a shock!
