This is the first time that I have wrote an opinion on a film but after watching this last night on Sky premier I just had to, so here goes.
"Analyze this has got to be one of the most amusing and funny films that I have seen in a long time.
It is not very often that I would sit down to a film and watch it all the way through with out falling asleep or getting up to do stuff but this one had me clued to the screen from start to finish.
The film is basically about a boss of a mob Paul Vitti(Robert De Niro) who starts to get panic attacks and after a small car accident with a psychiatrist Dr Ben Sobel(Billy Crystal), where Dr Sobel end's up in the rear end of Paul Vitti's car. A strange but comical relationship is built between them and then the film begins to really take off.
*The main characters*
Paul Vitti boss of mob ---------------------- Paul Vitti (Robert De Niro) has grown up in the mob life but after his father was gunned down years ago, he had been brought up by Manetta, his mentor and surrogate father who have been preparing him for is role as boss of his crime family. He then starts getting panic attacks and begins to distance his self from his wife and family.
Dr Ben Sobel psychiatrist ------------------------- Dr Ben Sobel (Billy Crystal) is a psychiatrist who's life is pretty ordinary. He is divorced and lives with his Michael (Kyle Sabihy) and fiancée (Lisa Kudrow) of whom he is about to marry. His father is also psychiatrist but craves media attention and thrives on his own success.
*The story* It all starts when Dr Ben Sobel (Billy Crystal) is in his car with his young son Michael (Kyle Sabihy) who begins to analyze his father and as a result his car ends up in the rear of Paul Vitti (Robert De Niro). Jelly (Joseph Viterelli), Paul Vitti's body guard then gets out of the car after the boot flying open with a body wrapped up inside it to close the boot.
Dr Ben Sobel (Billy Crystal) then approaches the car to discuss insurance details but is told it doesn't matter about the damage to the rear end of Vitti's car. Dr Ben Sobel then passes his card over in case they changed their minds and wanted to discuss repair cost.
Paul Vitti (Robert De Niro) the confides to his bodyguards Jelly (Joseph Viterlli) and Jimmy (Richard Castellano), about his panic attacks, Jelly then gives Vitti Dr Ben Sobels business card.
As Paul Vitti has a big meeting to attend soon and needs to show the other crime families that he has what it takes to be a boss of a mob. But he needs to get his self sorted out before the dreaded day approaches.
I will leave it like that for you to go out and rent or buy the film.

The whole film from start to finish was completely hilarious with classic exchanges of dialogue between Dr Ben Sobel and Paul Vitti and their performances were remarkable both as a serious and comical side. The plot may be a little thin but all the funny scenes make up or this. If you haven't watched this film and enjoy humorous films then this is one to see.
