Well Anaconda is simply rubbish. The thought of a big snake and a nutter trying to catch it may sound watchable but it was always very unlikely to be a massive hit. The finished result is awful. The plot, of which there is very little, moves painfully slow and so when the snake arrives you are at least entertained for a slit second. There aren't any oscar winning performances either so you look to the snake for entertainment. This isn't meant to be a comedy but it is. The snake looks so laughable at some places that an animation would be scarier. Then the snake gets shot and set on fire but is still alive thrashing about and looking as silly as ever. Give it a miss and if you want a proper reptile type movie try Lake Placid which is a LOT better.
