Amores Perros as I translate it means For the Love of Dogs
This is a misleading title
I would simply like to advise viewers in this opinion...
In a raw movie, this film portrays a group of gangs who make money out of dog fights - training wild street-dogs to fight rivals to the death.
The most disturbing part to this film for me was not seeing the well-known message:
"No dogs were hurt or harmed in the making of this movie."
If you want to watch a gruelling and explicit movie about down-and-outs in Latin America training dogs for fights plus a side-story about romantic liaisons between cousins, then this is entertaining.
Having said this, despite the artistic approach to this movie...it made me quite queezy and disturbed.
The only downside for those who don't know Spanish is that you tend to miss a lot by reading the subtitles.
I would only recommend this movie on cinematography.
