Well, I've just finished watching this movie (abit behind the times, yeah i know) and to be completely honest I don't see what all the hype was. It was kind of amusing I suppose but nothing overwhelmingly funny.
The movie's about a bunch of high school kids that are virgins and well, ummm from what I make of it, try their best to lose their virginity. Throughout the whole film there's continuous reference to penis sizes, condoms, masturbation, and sexual bodily functions. There was only one funny scene that actually made me laugh or anybody else in the room infact, and I won't say which one as it'll spoil the film.
American Pie is definately directed at the "teen" end of the market and it's those aged people that will find this movie funny. The older audience may find it rather immature and boring.
As far as the DVD features go, I watched it on a VCD on the computer (hence this review being in the DVD section, as there's no VCD section) So the DVD features wouldn't have been included anyway. In my opnion the DVD features should include an option to change the movie though, because the film's so dull at times with alot of standing around and talking nonsense =(
