American Pie is a wicked film. I saw a trailer for it at the cinema and decided there and then that I was definitely gonna go and see it. It looked amazing and side-splittingly funny! The actors are fantastic, and although the story line isn’t amazing, the witty characters will have you in constant fits of laughter. It’s rated 15 and is a hilarious comedy that oozes sex. There is occasional strong language and a whole load of sex and nakedness. American Pie is about four high school guys who make a pact to lose their virginity by senior Prom. You’ll never stop laughing at the characters nutty ways of attempting to get laid.
Jason Biggs stars as Jim. He has no idea what to do when it comes to girls, it’s so funny as he tries so hard. Firstly he attempts to sleep with Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth). She’s Eastern-European and every guy would want to sleep with her. Jim completely messes it up. Nadia goes round his house to “study”, but she as she has
come to Jim’s house straight from Ballet Practice she has to change. Sneakily, Jim has broadcast Nadia on the Internet whilst she is changing, and if that isn’t bad enough she starts masturbating on his bed. Jim knows that if he’s ever gonna score with Nadia, now would be the time. When it came to the crunch, Jim couldn’t handle the excitement and got as far as sitting on the bed with Nadia with his hand on her thigh. After completely cocking it up (pardon the pun) with Nadia, he had to find another girl. This is where Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) comes in. She’s a band geek who never stops talking about band camp. He succeeds and it’s hilarious. She jumps on him shouting, “What’s my name? Say my name bitch!”
Chris Klein stars as Oz. Compared to Jim he knows what he’s doing around girls, but he’s still just as far away from sex as Jim. He was in his girlfriend’s car and he said the most ridiculous things to her. They were having a normal conversation and suddenly comes out with “Suck me, beautiful”, and when that doesn’t work he uses a cheesy pick-up line- “My friends call me Nova, as in Casanova…” Having failed with her he becomes Mr Sensitive and joins the jazz choir. He meets Heather (Mena Suvari), she’s a vocal Jazz girl and although she’s a goody goody, he figures that she doesn’t know what he’s really like so he can play the sensitive side and get her. They got to the prom together and they do sleep together, but he doesn’t tell his mates, he says “lets just say we had a great night together…. You know, we think we’re falling in love”. He really did turn into Mr Sensitive.
Thomas Ian Nicolas stars as Kevin. He has a girlfriend, Vicky (Tara Reid). She won’t sleep with him until he’s told her he loves her. She tells her mate Jessica (Natasha Lyonne) that she wants “the right time, the right place…” Jessica replies with “Vicky, it’s not a space shuttle launch it’s sex!”. Jessica also gives Kevin some advice on how to get Vicky to have sex, “either tell her you love her, or give her something she’s never had, an orgasm.” Kevin chooses orgasm. They’re in Vicky’s bedroom and her parents are downstairs whilst she’s having multiple orgasms. Her Mum tells her Dad to go up and get Vicky for dinner and just as her Dad’s about to open the bedroom door, Vicky screams “I’m coming, I’m coming!!!”, so he turns round and goes back downstairs! What a close one, I don’t think anyone’s parent would do that, they’d still walk in.
Eddie Kaye Thomas stars as the fourth friend, Finch. I don’t think a girl as ever even looked at him before. The funniest thing he does is when he says he has a foolproof plan. All four of them are outside and he jumps on a little scooter and says “gentlemen, destiny awaits” he goes to drive off, but no, it conks out before it even gets going. That always gets me laughing. He ends up sleeping with Stifler’s Mum on the Pool table at Stifler’s after Prom party.
If you haven’t seen this yet, why not? This is an excellent film, you’ll be laughing forever, oh and one more thing…you’ll never look at apple pie in the same way again. You’ll have to watch it to find out why.
