After all the rave reviews I had heard and read about this film I presumed it would be hilarious. It wasn't.
You start off with all of the usual premises of one of these American teen flicks. These are: a)males trying to lose their virginity, b)division of school into jocks and geeks with 'normal' teens in the middle c) great deal of angst at having a comfortable lifestyle and still feeling you don't have everything (the basic premise of most Hollywood films)
A group of four guys who manage to straddle the jock/normal/geek divides (the only original thing in the movie) vow to lose their virginity by prom night. Cue the (slow) transformation from ravenous sex-seekers to caring 'I realise their is love' type of guys.
I waited in vain for this movie to pick up and have some decent laughs in it. In the end I was merely embarassed for having chosen it. Next time I think I will leave the choosing to my friends.
You might be amused by the sight of one of the group of four simulating sex with an apple pie or one geek girl suddenly blurting out that she had put a flute into her vagina. You might laugh at someone drinking a lager with sperm in it. I just got bored. But as the Romans said, 'de gustibus non est disputandum' but then they did like seeing people being butchered.
Hear! Hear! When I watched the film I got the distinct impression I was NOT in the target audience bracket. Have seen it done before (and better) years ago. Good op :-) Med

All fair comments - but I think I would have liked to read a bit more about the film to give it a VH. Cheers, Phil.

It seems I made the right choice when I decided not to watch this film. Thanks for the warning!
