The first thing to point out is that this film, mercifully, does not contain that awful song by Don McClean and Madonna and pays no reference to it at all. This would degrade the film, which is, in one word, brilliant and much more in depth than other lesser high school flicks
Four high school 'losers' make a pact to lose their virginity before they finish high school and the film follows their varying attempts to do so. I wouldn't want to spoil it for you by revealing the success rate, but their are some very funny moments along the way. Watch out for the 'Apple Pie' and 'Band Camp' scenes which must go down in comedy history.
The characters are varied and all appealing in their own way - look out too for Mena Suvari of American Beauty fame and the hilarious Sheriminator - I'm sure we have all known a similar chap in our time.
Brilliant storyline, great characters, great soundtrack and no Don McClean - bring on the sequel!
