Oh, how times change. I haven't written anything at Ciao for months. In the rest-period following my exhaustive reviews of Ciao itself, I guess I just got thinking and in the end it came down to one big question - "what's the point?". Ciao's great...

As long as you take this film in a light-hearted way, then you'll love it. As much as we would all love to say that we're too mature to find toilet humour and teenage sexual inconveniences funny, we'd only be kidding ourselves and the comedy in this movie appeals to the immature kid in us all. It tells the story of a group of boys who all agree a pact to lose their virginity before they graduate. The humour comes very thick and fast (not the only thing that comes thick and fast in this film) and I can guarantee that not many movies have the whole cinema audience in stitches in unison like American Pie has done. It provides us with some great situations, including the unforgettable scene where one of the group is caught by his father making sweet love to a warm apple pie. If you have any sense of humour at all then you will not be able to resist joining the hordes of pubescent teenagers and crack up at this film.
