When I got this DVD, I was expecting another movie following the exploits of Jim, Stiffler and the gang out in the real world, getting into more mischief. What a horrible misconception that was.
The fourth movie in the American Pie series wasn't anything memorable for me. It follows the antics of Stiffler's little brother, Matt, when he is forced to go to band camp by his correctional teacher, a cameo by Chuck Sherman, who was in the older American Pie movies. He decides to make the most of it by trying to record the apparent wild behavior that goes on in band camp. The usual American Pie hijinks follow, but they seemed too predictable. The whole plot line was predictable too, classic hollywood tale of a wayward boy meeting some wholesome girl and then, after going through some rough patches together, falling in love with each other and making everything become perfect and sweet. Aww...what an utter waste of time.
I don't recommend you watch this unless you really feel like watching something brainless and mildly funny. I don't even suggest that you buy it, unless you're some die-hard American Pie fan. Just rent it.
