The American Pie guys are back in American Pie 2. After their first year at college Jim, Kevin, Oz, Finch and the guy we love to hate Stiffler are back. All 5 of them get together again for a summer full of fun and partying for six weeks because college has finished. Anyway the guys always end up partying at Stiffler's house, and the same goes this summer. That is until the cop's come and put a stop to the partying, so the guys are left with nowhere to party and chill out.
So Kevin remembers that his brother and his mates used to rent a lake house during the summer and do odd jobs in order to earn money to pay for it. After a conversation on the phone with his brother and getting all the details Kevin tells Jim, Oz and Finch about his plan and they all agree to go to the Lake House for the summer. Before the guys are about to set off Finch realises that the Lake House is going to cost the 4 of them a bomb and starts to wonder how they are going to afford the rent between them. So without asking the other guys Kevin invited Stiffler along as it would help with the cost of the rent. Finch isn't too happy about this because he and Stiffler cam to blows in the first American pie movie because Stiffler caught Finch and his Mom Janine at it on the pool table.
In order to earn some extra cash whilst they are at the lake house the guys get a job painting the exterior of houses. Whilst outside painting one house in particular Stiffler notices the 2 female occupants leaving and they are holding hands, and Stiffler automatically assumes that they are lesbians,
so Stiffler being as bold and he is decides to go into the house and look for "Lesbian artefacts!" So Jim and Finch go into the house to try and drag Stiffler out before the two ladies come back, but they're too late and get caught inside the house. Stiffler wants the two ladies to prove that they are lesbians and perform for the three of them. This part in the film is really funny and ends up with Stiffler kissing Jim just so as he can see the "Lesbians kissing"
There are lots more funny scenes and a lot more of the film to talk about, but I'm just going to leave it at that, because I don't want to give away more than 20% of the plot in case I ruin the whole film for the people who have yet to see it. So instead ill tell you all about the characters in the film and reveal a little about them.
Jim Levenstein (Jason Briggs) is the stupidest of the guys, he likes to hump apple pie and stick himself to himself using super glue. Everyone is always taking the Mickey out of Jim because he has no experience with the ladies in the bedroom department. In the first American Pie he literally blew it with Nadia twice, and this was broadcast to the whole school over the internet. So because of his lack of experience Jim gets some sex advice from the bandy geek Michelle, so as he can get some experience. Jason Briggs plays the part of Jim really well, his acting is great and because of the other guys ripping it out of him all the time makes the film as funny as it is.
Oz (Chris Klein) is still with his long term girlfriend Heather, whom he met in the choir in the first American Pie. Oz isn't really in the film that much but one classic scene which was really funny was when he was having an intimate moment on the phone with Heather and Stiffler ruined it completely for the both of them. Chris Klein plays a really sensitive sweet guy in the film; it is his sensitivity and sweetness which makes him a much likable character in the film.
Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas) is quite a sweet guy with loads of feelings. He's quite heartbroken after Jessica splits up with him. So he takes the advice of his big brother and tries to enjoy himself at the lake house with his mates trying not to think about her. All is going well until her and her friend show up. And all the feelings Kevin had for Jessica come flooding back. Kevin plays a good pert in the film, but to be honest he isn't as funny as the other guys, he is just like an ordinary lad and not as far fetched and as funny as Jim and Stiffler.
Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) is obsessed with Stiffler's Mom Janine ever since their Pool table incident. So he studies meditation so as he can last for days in bed in case Stiffler's mom turns up at the party like she did in the last American Pie. Stiffler really hates Finch because of his obsession with his mother and the two of them have quite a few confrontations and arguments in the film, which always ends up with Finch getting the short straw. Finch is really funny, but really weird and obsessive because of Stiffler's mom. In the film it is like he is always pining for her and waiting in anticipation in case she shows up.
Stiffler (Seann William Scott) he is the friend which they all love to hate, the one who cracks all the jokes and annoys the living daylights out of them. Stiffler's a real ladies man, and charms the pants of the ladies and then he gives them the old Stiffler bang and boot. In the film something always goes wrong for Stiffler which ends up leaving him rather embarrassed and feeling and looking sick. Seann William Scott plays a fantastic part in the film, he is my favourite character. He is a really hyperactive, out spoken character and his facial expressions and use of words in the film make it much more enjoyable. I don't think the film would be as popular as it is, if there were no Stiffler in it.

American Pie 2 is an excellent film to watch, I thought that it was a lot funnier than the first one. That is partly because Stiffler is in the film a lot more than in the first. I that American Pie 2 have the same sort of story line and gags as the first one, but this makes the film so much more enjoyable and makes the film funnier because you know what the characters are like and you kind of half expect them to say or do some of the things they do in the film.
This film is a must see and will have you laughing out loud, I highly recommend American Pie 2, but you should really watch the first one before hand as this one is a follow up film. If you don't watch the first American pie the chances are that you won't find the film as funny as it is and won't get half of the jokes and you won't realise why Finch and Stiffler hate one another.
