American Pie took the UK and USA by storm. It was realistic, funny and every teenager wanted to see it. This included me and I really liked this movie and thought it was very funny, and looked forward to seeing the next one, but I shouldn’t have! To be honest, if you ask most teenagers under the age of 16, they will say they really liked it. That was about it.
This film reached out to the teenagers and kids that are well, immature (if you liked this movie don’t take it personally). The movie was practically just like the first American Pie but with them a year older than last time and a few more jokes. The characters were the same and nothing had changed, the film may as well been called American Pie re-released.
It starts off with them finishing off collage and ready to start the spring break. This time they went to a beach house and stayed there for the spring break because Stiffler’s house was closed down because too many people were getting drunk and other stuff. The story line was practically the same. Jim wants Nadia, Stiffler wants any girl he can find, finch wants Stiffler’s mum and that’s about it.
The new jokes I have to say where quite funny… shame there was only about 2 of them. The story line is practically the same and the only thing that has changed was the set! There are exactly the same things all the way through and the structure is the same as the first one.
If you think, he says it’s the same as American Pie, I liked American Pie shall I go see it? The answer is no. This is the truth, when I walked out of the cinema I heard two people say “that was a waste of money” and also “I’ve just wasted two hours of my life for that?”
If you are immature and I know lots of people in my school are, not saying names just in case then go watch this movie. If you like films like Mission Impossible 2, Ransom and depth movies like these then don’t go and watch this movie. It will be a total waste of your time.
This film is not worth paying £5.50 to go and see. If you want to get it out from somewhere like Blockbusters be my guest. This is one film that reminds me of ‘The Cable Guy’, the worst piece of rubbish I have ever seen. I was banging my head on the chair next to me cause I couldn’t bear to watch that movie. This movie isn’t that bad and is quite funny in places but I still think it’ll be better to just watch the first one.
I found this film really boring in places and thought it was just Déjà vu. So if you want to watch this film do ahead, sit back and prepare to be bored and also don’t blame me when you come back and I use the phrase “I told you so”. For the people that did like it there’s only one thing I have to say to them, don’t worry Pokémon 3 is out on video soon!
If you haven’t guessed yet I do NOT recommend this movie and advice you not to go and see it. But maybe you’ll surprise me. And also if you do like please tell me cause I need a good laugh!

Well, I am 23 and I absolutely loved it - but then I freely admit to being immature when it comes to sense of humour, something which I would not have admitted to to save my life when I was a teenager and probably wouldn't have laughed so much at this film as I would have thought it was immature to find things like that funny! Now, I know it is - but I don't care!!! Still, each to their own! Hannah

Advantages: The same brand of humour as the first; all the familiar characters and the same laughs. Like being re-acquainted with an old friend. If you liked the first film there's plenty to enjoy. Disadvantages: The same brand of humour as the first; all the familiar characters and the same laughs. Like being re-acquainted with an old friend who has become slightly stale since you last met them. If you disliked the first film don't bother.
