I thought the original American Pie was o.k,so I decided to give it a go.My friends and I travelled all the way to the local cinema expecting to be entertained for an hour..however what followed was a nightmare.
I didn't mind paying £5 to see the film, but halfway through,I wanted to pay for it to end. There is absolutely no storyline. The film is about five boys who've just finished their first year of college. They go to stay in a huge house for the summer and plan to sleep with as many girls as possible.Needless to say,the rest of the film is full of gratuitous, unnecessary and unfunny "comical" activities related to sex. This gets tiresome after the first two minutes.
Also growing tiresome is the relationship between Jim (the star) and his father. In the original,Jim and his father were very close and Jim's dad tried to help Jim through his uncomfortable adolescent problems. This was funny for us the first time round but now its just annoying. When will Jim's dad butt out?
This film is the most predictable piece of nonsense I have ever seen. The jokes are so mainstream and I am tempted to think it was written by a 12 year old boy....with issues.
The acting is ok but this is overshadowed by the distinct lack of storyline.Please...save your money.Buy some wooden pegs,i'm sure they'd be much more entertaining

Sorry but I disagree strongly with this op.
I saw the film on pirate and thought that it was really funny.
Perhaps its more of a lads film.
Sorry.

Too bad you didn't like it. It wasn't as good as the first but I thought it was still an excellent film.

Hi, thought i'd do my usual and apologise for the helpful rating. Your op really helps to put across the plot of the film but doesn't give any info about the characters themselves and the actors who play the etc. Sorry to be a stick in the mud, but if you added a bit more I happily change my rating, ta.
