American History X is an Outstanding film, a must see, With great acting by Edward Furlong (Who also played John In Terminator 2) and Edwarn Norton.

The film is set in the presant day, and is about a Gang member of the "skin Heads", Who is more or less THE leader. This man (Derek who is played by Edward Norton), has very strong views and beleives that America is for the White race only, and Influences others to follow him. The gang shows strong violence to any race that isnt white, and wont hesitate to strike them. His views came around when his father was killed by a gang member of the opposite race.

However, Derek's views quickly change when he is sent to jail and he finds himself walking aroung hundereds of different races, and the only white people there turn on him as they dont like the way he preaches.

While he is in jail, his younger brother is following in his footsteps, and it is brining down the whole family, getting himself into more trouble than he realises.

Once Derek finaly makes it out of jail, his whole views have changed, (as he worked out that there was one coloured man that helped him without saying anything to him), and his old gang mates dont like this. And it is only once he it is out of jail that he realises the consiquences of his actions.

I would say more about the film but I dont want to give too much of the story away, but i will say that the ending is something els, you will be left on the edge of your seat.

There are many actors in this film that you wil recognise from various TV programs such as comander Sisco from Deep Space Nine and The father from Boy meets world.

This film is very well directed, and very powerful, once you start to watch the film, you will never leave your seat! If you are in the mood for a great film, this is the one. And it is well worth buying as you will want to watch it again.
