i LOVED this film!! although the storyline is quite disturbing (a man perving on his daughters 'friend') the characters are deep and interesting, and the performances are amazing. it manages to allow the audience to understand the characters, even the ones you would expect to loathe (including the pervy dad!). it definitely deserves all the critical acclaim and awards it has won. i always judge films on how long i'm thinking about them afterwards, and this one played on my mind for days!! i would recommend watching it alone, unless you're not afraid of crying your eyes out in front of your friends. the soundtrack alone can make me well up! the imagery and emotion in this film is really beautiful and touching. a very thought provoking film, i whole-heartedly recommend it.
