America 9/11 DVD

Advantages: excellent media studies resource, very informative
Disadvantages: can be abit patronising in some places, but it doesn't go past the typical moore style

...and two faced but that was really surprising.Anyway enough of that before i spoil the whole documentary! Although i found Moore midly irrating at times, he still presents a worthwhile, interesting documentary, with some questions that definatly need to be answered. I would recommend this DVD for anyone interested in the politics of America and 9/11, as well as anyone who is generally interested in what goes on behind the cameras. I would also highly recommend it to anyone doing a project related to America, 9/11 or documentaries.... Read review

Advantages: A great understanding what from the attacks to the panic and to the rebuilding America.

...I bought this DVD to try and get a better understanding about what happened on September 11th 2001. And to answer those questions about, how did they clear the ruins, how long did it take etc. There are three title films on this DVD they are, 24 Hours From Ground Zero, 7 Days In September, and America Rebuilds-A Year At Ground Zero. 24 Hours From Ground Zero - is a extraordinary look at the evolution of the World Trade Center horror,experienced through the eyes and the voices of people at the scene who were among the first to arrive at ground zero. Advantages: Typical Michael Moore
Disadvantages: Some scenes badly shot

...famous works are probably - Bowling For Columbine and Ferinheight 9/11, the shame is that most people just think that is all he has ever done. Anyway this is a DVD review, not a general review about him! MAIN PROGRAM The Big One is basically about Michael Moore's trip around America promoting his latest book "Downsize This" (As a side note - an excellent book and well worth a read sometime) Michael decides that he should take a camera crew with him to document his movements and so fourth. Sounds like a really boring thing to document, a fat man running about the place telling people to buy his book, great..... But wait.... Theres Mo(o)re! On his little trip around America he stops off in various places to bascially cause trouble to big business (he always has his reasons) He just basically gets in peoples faces and asks them questions...
