Manufacturer's product description

American soul singer Billy Paul is perhaps best known for his international 1970s smash hit 'Me And Mrs Jones'. But it's the release of his follow up single 'Am I Black Enough For You?' that is the focus of this documentary -- and rightly so, seeing as the record nearly killed his career. The song's radical message was one that record executive and Black Power activist Kenny Gamble believed needed to be heard. This fascinating, uplifting and at times shocking documentary explores the relationship between the two men, the damage the record made to Paul's career, his 40 year marriage to wife Blanche, and the social-political background behind Gamble and Paul's brave decision.
