I have to admit, the only reason I went to see this film is because it had Justin Timberlake in it, as I am a fan, but I am glad that I did. This movie has a brilliant plot with brilliant acting from all the cast. Justin Timberlake proves he is as good as an actor as he is singer. He provides a good performance throughout, as do all of the cast.
The film is set in Los Angeles, California and is about Johnny Truelove (Emile Hirsch) and his gangsta friends living the American Dream as drug dealers. When one of Truelove clients, Jake (Ben Foster) fails to pay up, they seek revenge by kidnapping his step-brother, which soon spirals out of control with very real consequences. This film is inspired by actual events.
It may not be a good film for you if you are not keen on a lot of swearing, hence the rating 15, but this helps dramatise the film. Besides that, I cannot fault it. The story is well planned and I didn't get lost throughout. This is a good film for you if you like a true story, with a lot of drama and emotion, with the odd humorous crack along the way. I was shocked at how the filmed progressed and the events that happened, as the film leads you on to thinking something different.
