Advantages: Ridgeway Village, North East Derbyshire Disadvantages: Poor Bus Service
of Ridgeway existed 700 years ago. Since this time it has developed from a small Hamlet into the small self-contained Community that we see today.
Historically this part of the Moss Valley was famous for the manufacturing of hand-forged sickles, hooks and scythes that were vital for the agriculture of the time and it exported these tools successfully to many parts of the world.
The pupils of the local Primary School have researched the history of this Village extensively and they are keen to educate the rest of us by providing placards and boards full of information throughout the Village.
One of the most interesting stories unearthed by the local Schoolchildren is the story of John Haslam's Donkey, which they have turned into a walk through the Village that is well sign-posted and points out all of the important things of interest along ...
Advantages: funny in some places Disadvantages: no chemistry, weak story
First of all, I must point out that this is a film-only review. I do not own this film on DVD, but have seen it on TV a couple of times now.
~The Story~
The movie begins with Reuben Feffer (Ben Stiller) getting married to his girlfriend of four years, Lisa (Debra Messing). I eagerly filled the form in and hoped I?d be one of the lucky recipients for the showing in Liverpool. The plot is fairly basic, as you would expect from a romantic comedy. I have to say though that the emphasis is firmly on comedy. My boyfriend hates ?rom coms? but he really enjoyed this film. The film is also similar in style to Meet The Parents, which is unsurprising since they were both directed by ...
