...Along Came Polly: Along Came Polly has all the credentials of being a great film. It is written by one of the co-writers of the hugely funny and successful Meet the Parents (John Hamburg)and it stars three of the US's hottest actors: Ben Stiller (Starsky and Hutch, Meet the parents), Jennifer Anniston (Friends and Bruce Almighty) and Debra Messing form the hit US sitcom Will and Grace. Somehow though, Along Came Polly doesn't hit the mark for me and you are left wondering, where did Polly go??? The Plot; Reuben Feffer is the slightly anal character played by Ben Stiller who's professional is as a senior risk auditor and everything in his life is centred around how dangerous or risky something might be. ...Along came polly is a romantic and comedy movie starring Jennifer Anniston and Ben Stiller. Reuben Feffer (Ben Stiller) has just got married , when on their honeymoon his bride dumps him for a muscly scuber diver instructor. Reuben is hurt and shocked that his new wife would do this to him and so soon after they get married. By coincidence Reuben soon bumps into an old school friend Polly , played by Jennifer Anniston. Together they go salsa dancing and try spicy foods! They then fall for eachother! A great happy ending to a sad story with some classic comedy moments too - for example when Reuben has the squits after a spicy meal at Polly's house and she wanders what's taking him so long in the bathroom! ...First of all, I must point out that this is a film-only review. I do not own this film on DVD, but have seen it on TV a couple of times now. ~The Story~ The movie begins with Reuben Feffer (Ben Stiller) getting married to his girlfriend of four years, Lisa (Debra Messing). They head off on honeymoon to the island of St. Barts, and while there, they meet Claude (Hank Azaria), a French scuba diving instructor, who has a penchant for walking around in very few clothes. On the first day, Lisa has a scuba diving lesson with Claude, and Reuben goes to Claude's boat to surprise Lisa with a bottle of Champagne.
