All Bar Love DVD

Advantages: reminds you of those school friend reunions
Disadvantages: none as far as I can see

...I absolutely love this film, I didn't know what to expect the first time I saw the film as it is my boyfriend favorite but that's not always a good thing to go by. This is a story about a good of twentysomethings who all, but one, live in a snow covered town, with local bars and the typcial small town environment. They have reunions, visit old haunts, examine relationships, especially the ups and downs that go with them, but somehow survive and all come out the other side. I love all the characters, as they are such a mix of people but little things have made them stay in touch and be the best of friends. There is soul searching, laughter, singing i.e. round an old piano in a bar singing neil diamond Sweet Caroline. If you fancy a night in watching something a little different, rent this one.... Advantages: Relive the 1980s
Disadvantages: OAP love

...I was cautious about going to see this film, but absolutely loved it. Adam Sandler is on un-annoying form as the guy who sings at weddings, while Drew Barrymore is at her cutest as the waitress. The film is a gently love comedy, but is supported by a wonderful 1980s retro setting. The music is a blast, and the guys' fluorescent socks say it all really. The characters are nicely played by the two leads, and there are some great moments of humour (see the part where the wedding singer becomes the bar mitzvah singer). It could have done without the "inspiring" pensioners in love though.... Read review

Advantages: good storylines and 4 great episodes!
Disadvantages: None! could have included a couple more episodes.

.... it is a recent episode so voices are top notch. Also with Britney Spears making an entrance makes it quite funny. Homer The Moe ****************** When Moe goes back to bartending school, homer fills in for him leaving him in charge of the bar. However when Moe Returns he modernises his bar and forgets about his regulars. They dont like this new bar of moes and so, Homer sets up his own in hs family garage. Overall i think this is a brillient episode which goes into depth about moe with some good humor along the way. Overall ******** i think that these 4 episodes are a great combination for a good watch. When i bought this DVD i had already seen all these episodes but , being the simpsons are always great to watch. i love this DVD and at any time i can just stick it in and watch every episode. I strongly recomend if you class yourself... Read review
