In 1986, James Cameron decided to direct the sequel to the first of four alien films, seeing Ellen Ripley, who was played by Sigourney Weaver being pit against Aliens in different ways.
The first film saw Ripley's ship Nostromo invaded by an Alien causing havoc, murdering her crew mates. In this one she awakes from a 50 year sleep by a new crew who found her in her pod. She tells them about the alien and they try to contact the planet which had been colonized, but they didn't get through due to losing contact with them from there. So they decide to head down there to investigate anything mysterious happening. They arrive on the island to find a young girl who has been hiding from the aliens who wiped out her neighbourhood. I won't tell you anymore as for some i won't want to spoil the surprise of a great film.
All the film is on disc one, on the second disc you get alot more on that. You get information on the pre-production and post-production meaning the making of, and more. The extra features is very interesting what they done in 1986 to make a movie like this.
The graphics on the movie is not to the standards of it is nowadays, but you'll never find one of this standard almost twenty years ago. There are scenes with the alien you can see that are fake. The price can still be abit steep for a 2-disc edition of this film, or if you want all of the films a quadrilogy would be a good idea as i got mine for £30 for 9 discs, 2 disc for each film and an extra disc for special features.
The plot for the film was brilliant, a thoroughly enjoyable film, not scary for anyone who doubts whether it would be for their own liking. However, the film features blood and unappropriate scenes for anyone who would not be suitable for things like that. Thanks
