Aliens- the sequel to Alien, one of the only sequels to be better than the first film!!!

It truely DOES get better every time you see it!!

Aliens is definitely not a movie for the faint-hearted. There is enough tension and suspense generated here for 10 movies. And there's a fair amount of gore, as well--although it's mostly alien gore. The first Alien showed the humans' bloody ends more graphically.

Lieutenant Ellen Ripley was a survivor in Alien, being the only survivor from the aliens massacre. This time, she's a fighter, assisnting a team of US marines in search of human colonies on a planet, where she previously found the alien, as they have mysteriously gone missing. Where 'Alien' was more of a horror film, the sequel is action packed, bleeding, foaming at the mouth, screaming and shooting with a much bigger, more aggressive cast, with lots more aliens and lots more people with guns who can make a difference! Ripley assists the marines and advises them about what they are up against, only to be made a joke of by the macho marines. When they realize what they are up against when they encounter the aliens in their colony, they soon are running scared, losing half of the marines to the aliens in the process. Ripley takes command as she is the only person with experience in dealing with the alien hive, the team of marines assault the alien hive in search of any survivors of the colony, only to find them impregnated with infant aliens named "chest-bursters", pretty much giving away what they do in the name!!One survivor is found, Newt, a young girl, who Ripley adopts as her daughter. The character Burke tries to flee from the marines and abandon them on the planet, only to be ambushed and eaten by an alien, think thats the only time in the film where u feel good 4 the aliens, but soon changes :-) The remainders of the marines are cornered into a room and viciously attacked by the aliens, before being chased into the ventilation system. One of the best scenes in the film is where the aliens swarm into the room and attack the marines through the ceiling and floor, the pulse rifle used by the marines holds them off to soem extent, with the mounted grenade launcher on the bottom creatin much fun! The marines race through the ventilation system, only to be eaten and tore up by more aliens, leaving very little left, you can barely call it a team. Ripley loses Newt in the sewerage system linked to the ventilation system, and whitnesses her being taken by a huge alien whilst she attempts to rescue her. The suspense and tension builds tremendously, seeing how Ripley rages after the aliens, gives you an adrenelin rush just talking about it! Ripley's mission is now to find Newt and rescue her before the aliens turn here into a cocoon ready for impregnation with the 'ickle aliens!!! She tracks Newt down with her arsenal of weapons, a pulse rifle with grenade launcher and a flame thrower tapped to the side with duct-tape... genius..... She stumbles across the nest, guarded by a queen alien, a real big b*tch with a nasty saggy *ss from laying loadsa eggs!!! Ripley saves the girl, then sets the hive aflame and legs it before the Queen alien grabs hold of her, only to be chased frantically. Bishop comes to the rescue with a dropship to transport Ripley and Newt to safety...
Soon as they return back to the base, Ripley shows her relief and talks to bishop. In mid sentence bishops is stabbed through his torso and suspended in the air, the queen alien snook aboard the dropship!!! It tears Bishop in two, throwing the legs one way an the top the other.... and get this.....hes still alive!!!!! I was like WOW! cool special effects. Ripley then climbs into the yellow loader and battles the queen alien in a huge robotic suit, evening things up a tad, she then disposes of it through the airlock, thus saving the day, tho i wish it could have been more gruesome :-(

Overall I really enjoyed this film and it made me a big fan of the alien quadrilogy, which i had for christmas!!! YAY! its got 9 discs so yeps, its dam good, loadsa special features!
back on track- I recomend this sci-fi film to any body whos a great sci fi fan, its action packed, has lots of gore and some mean marines who want to kick some alien *ss!

My favourite scenes are when Bishop, the android, holds hudsons hand down and doe the "knife thing" and scares the sh*t out of Hudson, have to watch it to see what i mean ;-)
And when Hudson does his macho thing an holds off the aliens to some extent untill one comes up underneath him and eats the poor bugger :-( and the scene when Ripley drives the APC over an aliens head, deserves a cheer each time you watch it!
