Ellen Ripley is back along with a fist full of insane marines who carry guns, bug guns. Alien is back, and so is his familly and a few of his mates. Colony wiped out and both sides meet....Carnage is the only logical outcome.
It all begins with Ripley being found floating in space in the escape capsule after escaping and blowing up her ship in Alien, it then tracks her being nursed back to health and having her job stripped from her because they do not believe her story of what happened to the last ship.
Meanwhile contact is lost with a colony that had settled on the planet she first encountered the alien species on. She is re-enlisted and given back her rank to go out with the marines to "advise" them on what they may find.
On arriving on the planet they find that no-one is there, the place is deserted and there are sighns of a fire-fight. They set up a ops room and set to work finding the people that "vanished". Each colonist has a homing beacon in them so they discover they are all bulked together in one place.
They go to investigate. What they discover is terifying, all the colonists are being used as hosts for the aliens. They are glued to the walls using alien material. One is still alive and the marines try to help but they are too late. The alien bursts from the chest of the colonist and is burnt. Due to the fact they are under the reactors they have been told to give all their magazines of ammo to one person because if they were to hit the reactors there would be a devistating effect. When huge numbers of aliens start coming out of the walls they only have a small selection of smaller guns to defend themselves with. All appart from Drake and Vasquez who deliberately kept spare mags just in case. There is a huge fire-fight and they are forced to retreat.
They decide to blow up the planet and take out the aliens once and for all. Unfortunately the dropship they intend to use to escape before the planet blows up crashes and they are forced to dring another one down by remote.
While they are doing this there is a lot more interaction with the aliens, more fire-fights, more action. Newt, the only colonist to survive, is locked in a room with ripley and two of the face huggers used to infect victims with the alien embryos. In the end Hicks (Micheal Bein - Terminator) has to shoot out the glass in the window to get them out.
When the dropship arives they have to make a run for it and on the way Newt falls down a shaft and is taken by an alien to be used as a host. Ripley proceeds to help the hurt Hicks to the dropship for extraction then goes back for Newt.
Newt is found just in time, the face hugger has not yet infected her. Ripley grabs her and they make their escape. On their way out they encounter a new kind of alien, the one that lays the eggs, the queen. They blow up her cave and think they have killed her. They get back to the dropship and escape. Or so they think!!! When they are back to safety, they get out of the dropshipand the queen that ripley thought she had killed reapears. A hand to hand fight between Ripley (inside an armoured suit) and the queen comences. In the end, the queen is blown out of the airlock and hicks, Ripley and Newt all get into pods and prepare for the journey home in cryogenic sleep.
James Cameron did a brilliant job of directing this film. The effects are good and once you start watching, there is not a herd of wild horses that could drag you away. Ripley is a better character in this instalment because she knows what she is up against and she doesn't take any prisoners. Of all the films this is the best (special edition, though harder to find is a lot better) Fantastic film, would recomend to anyone!!!

After reading your opinion there wouldn't seem to be a lot of point in going to see the film! We really only need a taster of what the plot's about but what we do want is your opinion about it.

Advantages: great, fun movie, excellent C.G effects and loads of extras!!!!! Disadvantages: a little tame on the gore and violence factor compared to the previous films!
