The entire cast, which is mostly made up of children, were all superb. The two main characters, played by Carter Jenkins and Austin Robert Butler, were by far the best actors and they led their small team in the war against the aliens with a mixture of brain skills from Tom and brawn skills from Jake. The younger children, sweet Hannah and troublesome twins Art and Lee, completed the team and every single one provided lots of entertainment.
I'm sure any High School Musical fan will love this film purely because Ashley Tisdale (aka Sharpay) is in it and her character doesn't differ much in this with the same girly mannerisms, over-exaggerated actions and fiery temper.
Robert Hoffman, who played Bethany's boyfriend, was also brilliant. He looked and acted the part of a slick and sly boyfriend which instantly made me dislike him so I could only find it funny when the kids ended up making a mockery of him. Doris Roberts was also a pleasant addition to the film due to me having seen her play the part of Marie in Everybody Loves Raymond.
Yes, admittedly, the film is a silly one with little alien creatures running around trying to take over the world, but it's done in an excellent way which doesn't make it seem silly or childish at all. The graphics used to create the aliens makes them look as if they are actually fighting the humans and nothing looks fake or superimposed - it looks like they are actually there. The ways that both the humans and aliens try to overpower and destroy each other are brilliant and the special effects created by these were so much fun to watch including a device to turn off the gravity, a giant potato spud gun and mind controlling devices which ended up creating an amusing Matrix-style fight scene between Ricky and Nana. But whilst trying to save the planet, the Pearson children still have some fun with a mind control device that has taken over Ricky making him look like a complete idiot in the process.
This was a way better film than I thought it was going to be. It made me laugh so many times throughout from both the unknowledgeable human-like ways of the aliens and the dry and sarcastic humour coming from the kids. Children will love this with the action-packed battles and funny little alien creatures, and so will adults with lots of comedy and brilliant acting. I can't find fault with this film at all, it really was a thoroughly enjoyable movie - great story, great acting, full of action and comedy. A wonderfully fun and light-hearted movie which I loved.
Running time: 86 minutes Certificate rating: PG Director: John Schultz
Robin Williams is well known for his stand-up comedy and film career, but when he started in the business, he starred in a TV series called Mork and Mindy. This is a perfect demonstration of Williams talents.
Mork and Mindy was about an alien from the planet Ork, who came to Earth to view and study humans. After Mork (Robin Williams) land son Earth, he meets, Mindy McConnell (Pam Dawber), who he ends up living with, in her attic room. Mindy protects his secret alien identity and Mork goes about his mission to study the customs and social interactions on Earth. As you would expect, everything is strange and wonderful to Mork and people think he is strange and weird, due to his reaction to normal day to day routines. Mindy would attempt to hide Mork?s identity from her father, Fred (Conrad Janis), and grandmother, Cora (Elizabeth Kerr ...
Advantages: Entertaining! Disadvantages: Mostly filmed in the dark
think this is a good documentary that viewers will find enjoyable and interesting.
Deleted Scenes
Here we are shown five deleted scenes that were not seen in cinemas. They include Graham and Merrill, The Flashbacks: Scene No.1 and Scene No.2, The Dead Bird, Alienin the Attic and The Third Story. You can see why a few of them were deleted but I think others would have added a great touch to this film.
Storyboards: Multi-Angle feature
This has two sequences: Graham, The Knife and the Pantry and Graham and Merrill Chase the Unknown Trespasser. You can watch each scene in various ways. On the visual side of things you can see film?s original storyboards or the final version. On the audio side, you can listen to the isolated score, the sound effects or the final mix.

to catch them – but soon it becomes worldwide news that aliens are invading and the crop circles (all around the world) are signs drawing the spaceships – worse still – the aliens are hostile. They try to capture and kill people by spraying a poisonous substance into their nose or mouth.
Anyway – Graham and his brother are determined not to be forced from their home and barricade themselves – with the children – in the attic – they can hear the alien (fingerless having had them chopped off by Graham!) It all gets very tense – but eventually they think it’s ok to go back in the house but the asthmatic son has been without his inhaler and is having trouble breathing – then the alien comes back and before you can say ET – it has the boy and sprays it’s deadly poison ...

DVD Description
A group of kids defend their Maine vacation home from knee-high alien invaders in this adventure comedy for the entire family. When Michigan native Bethany Pearson (Ashley Tisdale) arrives home after a secret outing with her boyfriend (Robert Hoffman), her father, Stuart (Kevin Nealon), decides that it's high time for a family vacation. Packing up the car with wife Hannah (Ashley Boettcher), teenage son Tom (Carter Jenkins), and big sister Bethany in tow, Stuart invites the extended family to join them at the vacation home for some much-needed rest and sets his sights on Maine. Much to Tom's dismay, Bethany's stuck-up boyfriend, Ricky (Hoffman), even manages to wrangle an overnight visit. Shortly after the Pearsons arrive at their sprawling summer home, however, things start to get strange. As dark clouds start to swirl overhead, four glowing objects blast through the sky on a collision course with the Pearsons' roof. But these aren't your typical meteors, because inside dwells tough-talking alien commander Skip, muscle-bound weapons specialist Tazer, lethal female Razor, and geeky four-armed techie Sparks. Before long, the aliens have taken Ricky over via a powerful mind-control device, and announced their intentions to claim Earth for the 'Zirkonians'. While the adults are completely oblivious to the extraterrestrial threat, the kids fight to save the planet with a little help from Sparks, the alien tech-specialist and one non-hostile invader. John Schultz directs a script penned by scribe Mark Burton (WALLACE AND GROMIT).
