Advantages: Good fun; easy viewing Disadvantages: Ant and Dec; what, you mean Aliens don't exist?
...original footage of a real-live alien being dissected? It's obvious, isn't it? You borrow the money from a local villain and return home with it, ready to get rich. But when the film is blank, then what do you do? You rope your friends in to making a fake and pray the rest of the world believes you…

Can the boys get away with it? Can they make their fortune? Or will they be rumbled?

Advantages: Ant and Dec, quite funny Disadvantages: Not as good as I was expecting from the Director or Ant and Dec
Was there really an alien autopsy or was it a lie????
THE FILM
The film begins with an American documentary maker signing a contract to have privacy rights to an interview and information with Ray, played by Declan Donnelly and Gary, played by Ant McPartlin. The boys then enter the office and start to give the American his interview. They start back at the beginning telling of how they came to see this old film footage.
Ray is an avid Elvis fan ... ...to see the supposedly real alien autopsy footage until the very end of the film but that is just my opinion and it make me watch the whole film.
I did like the fact that the film was based on true events which happened no so long ago, this to me made the film have a bit more appeal.
I also liked the fact that the film has directed by Jonny Campbell who was responsible for Phoenix Nights and Shameless and being a big fan of Phoenix Nights I was ...

...of deliberation we opted for Alien Autopsy - the film which gave Ant and Dec their first silver screen appearance.
The film (which is certificate 12A) is a loosely based on fact, where in 1995, two young men, Ray Santilli (Dec) and Gary Shoefield (Ant), were offered a tape showing what appears to be the autopsy of a Alien at Roswell.
The two central characters are very different, Ray is a cheeky wheeler dealer, without a job but always looking ... ...the footage showing the Roswell Alien autopsy, for which he wants $30,000. Now even Ray knows that this could be worth a lot more on the open market but has no where near enough money to purchase the film, so he returns to the UK and approaches the local 'Mr Big' who agrees to fund the purchase. Of course, things don't run according to plan as once they purchase the tape and bring it back it back, the tape is virtually blank - the elderly tape had ...

Advantages: Ant and Dec letting their personalities shine. Disadvantages: Acting may not be their strong point.
...It's a good place to start to say I really liked this film. I was expecting something really slick but with really bad acting, and that's not at all what I got.
The film was shot in a documentary style, giving Ant & Dec the opportunity to be more natural and let their personalities shine and their friendship hold the whole thing together.
The acting wasn't the best, but they're not actors and if you can forgive the odd moment of cringeworthy expressions, it's really worth checking out the film.
The plot is based on a true story and stirs up a lot of interesting questions. The pair go on a trip to America to make a quick buck and end up coming home with a film from a creepy man they met in a bar. Supposedly, this is an authentic film that shows a genuine autopsy from a UFO crash that happened in Roswell in 1947. Whether it's true...

Advantages: A convincing big screen debut for Ant & Dec Disadvantages: The comedy makes it seem better than it is.
...Back in 1995, Ray Santilli and Gary Shoefield unveiled footage that purported to show the dissection of an extra-terrestrial. Of course the film - which, these two friends from Hackney claimed, was shot by the US military in 1947 - was as fake as a three-quid note, but for a time it was jumped on by media outlets everywhere as 'proof' of alien existence. 'AlienAutopsy' plays this real-life hoax for laughs, depicting Ray and Gary as a couple of chancers straight out of 'Only Fools and Horses'. ITV1's Ant and Dec make a credible big-screen debut as the pair, essentially shoehorning their affable light-entertainment selves into the lead roles. They, and we, have most fun during the fake autopsy shoot, a beautifully deadpan sequence in a cramped suburban living room involving a modified shop dummy with a haggis for a brain and biscuit...

Advantages: An interesting insight to a brilliant scam, or ws it? Disadvantages: Not really the comedy it was sold as!
...that turns up is that of Elvis performing live, old B&W footage on actual reels of film. Ray does a deal with the old man selling it and are overjoyed at their success.
Later on the seller returns, informing Ray that he has some more footage, this time of something that is a bit different but that he thinks the two Englishmen will be interested in.
So begins the tale of the AlienAutopsy movie that caused a stir across the world back in 1995, a piece of footage that showed some
American military doctors performing an autopsy on an alien found in Roswell. A tale of conmen hitting the perfect scam that ballooned beyond their expectations, or maybe, just maybe the tail of two men lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time and make the most of it!
The rest of the film follows their attempts to buy this new film footage (they...
