When I watched this film I was disappointed. My expectations were high, maybe too high. Whilst i won't deny that there were some great, if not ridiculous, scenes which made me laugh, it's the overall film that disappointed me. I knew this as soon as the credits came up at the end of film but this was only to be confimred when I watched the first episode of the new series "Ali-G in da USA" last Friday.
From the minute the half hour episode started to it's end I was in fits of laughter, the genius was back in character and in his usual mould of interviewing the unexpecting americans.
Back to the film; what this concludes was that the film lacked what ali-G does best - being ali-G. His questioning and ignorance were not plain to see in the film and was lost in a plot and structure that doesn't suit da main man.
I guess if your an Ali-G fan you must watch it, like I've already stated, you will laugh but not as much as you would in the first five minutes of a usual show.
