Sorry if im writing reviews about old films, but I'm new!! thanks to all the people that commented on my review for the Sunday People, I will take my time to read some of theirs. I have watched this film three times now and I love it more every time. This film is a fitting tribute to a true legend and Will Smith is perfect for the role, however unlikely you may find that. I believe that in time, this film will become a true classic. It shows Ali in his youth and outlines the problems facing Black men in America at the time. Ali is not a film that you can fit into a busy schedule, be prepared for a long ride, but how much shorter time can you spend on the story of such an extraordinary man? This DVD also has a second disk packed full of bonus features, which makes it well worth the money. In short, a superb film, superbly directed, superbly acted and by far the biggest film Micheal Mann has ever made. It probably always will be.
