Well following my review of series 1, i thought it would only be fair to review series 2 of I'm Alan Partridge. Plus it gave me a fantastic excuse to watch it again (not that i need one!!)...Oh and it was better than watching wrestling......What is it with blokes watching wrestling...mmmm the divas i expect. Anyway, going of subject here!!!!! Well sexy Alan is back (He's been gone for 5 years after suffering a nervous breakdown), and as good as ever in this even more fantastic second series!! Whatever Steve Coogan does, i just cannot fault it. Well Alan is back, and naughty. In this series Alan has mangaed to get himself a 33 year old, Ukranian girlfriend, Sonja (played by Amellia Bullmore) and has now moved out of the hotel, into a caravan whilst his house is being finished. So we could say in some respects that things are looking up for dear old Alan in this series...He has even progressed on radio Norwich....to the third best slot, Norwich nights!!! He even presents a military quiz show called Skirmish!!! No more early mornings for Mr Partridge!!! Alongside Alan, the fabulous Lynn (played by Felicity Montagu) remains as his PA, and the "geordie", Michael (played by Simon Greenall) from the first series (the porter at the hotel) returns, this time working at a BP petrol station (Alans new haunt!!!) and now takes on more of a matey role with Alan!! Fantastic characters, all bringin their own classic comedy moments!!!
***EPISODE 1***
THE TALANTED MR
ALAN (ahh so true!!!)
In this eposide Alan bumps into his old school teacher at the petrol station (This school teacher being the one who caned him, for drawing a chalk penis on his own back) and agrees to give a talk at his old school on his career in the media!!! Whilst at school Alan meets his old school friend, Phil Wiley (playd by Ian Puleston -Davies) who is now a teacher there. There is alot of funny rivalry between these two which ends in the ultimate hot Bramley Apple showdown at the petrol station!! Alan on the hot filling "argh it's hotter than the sun!!" In this episode we also see Alan still trying to revive his career on tv.....this is when Alan finds out what "water sports" are!! Mmmm...nice. This is probably my fave episode, with more than a laugh a minute!! Classic well known quotes form this one include "back of the net!!" and "cashback!!"oh and of course "fanny hair!!!"
***EPISODE 2***
THE COLOUR OF ALAN
Here Alan has released his book "bouncing back", which hasn't been selling too well at the petrol station. He ends up doing a signing at Norwich railway station, giving away a free torch with every signing (as you can probably tell people arn't really interested in his book!!) Alan also presents a sales conference!!! Michael gets a bit of a story in this one when someone nicks his front door!! (random i know!!!) Still at least Alan is there to help him..... Sonja as always is more than slightly bonkers, and begins buying cushions and cups etc with alans face on!!! mmmm
***EPISODE 3***
BRAVEALAN
Alan meets his near enough double in the form of Dan Moody (played by the Stephan Manigan)("dan........dan......... dan,....dan... DAN DAN DAN DANDANDANDANDANDAN!!!") who owns Planet kitchen. They find they share many things in common (Main thing being lynx) Dan asks Alan to present an award at the Norwich bravery awards. (provides some hillarious moments. Alan thinks he is well in with dan meeting the rich and famous of Norwich, until Alan goes home with Dan and his wife....Alan gets to see a "certain" video and has a proposal to consider!! mmm i'lll leave you to figure that one out!!! Quote being "these are sex people!!" Again another fantastic episode, with Sonja acting even more wierd, Lynn getting a bit of love action (ah bless her!!) and Michael making Alan his special....a cup of beans, with a sausage in it!!!
***EPISODE 4***
NEVER SAY ALAN AGAIN
This episode starts of with Alan and michael planning to spend a whole weekend of watching James Bond, even down to timing their "dump" breaks!!! Things don't go to plan though....Michael and Alan fall out, which creates some problems for Alan...Lynn now has a BF...Gordan (played by Michael Wardle), giving Alan even more greif. Not the best episode in the series, but still a giggle thats for sure!!! Great quote...."butter my arse!!"
***EPISODE 5***
I KNOW WHAT ALAN DID LAST SUMMER
Not too much happens in this episode...Alan gets worried that the inland revenue are after him after he chucked a load of reciepts in the sea (hence the i know what you did last summer thing) and sonja gets bit of a story with her obsession over Bono and buying wierd things for Alan!! Not really any classic quotes that i can think of for this one!!
***EPISODE 6***
ALAN WIDE SHUT
Bit of a religous theme this one!!! Alan gets invited onto a talk show then has great fun attending Lynns baptism!!! Michael provides alot of laughs in this one... he manages to find a way to make toast in the micowave!!! Things don't end very well at all for Alan in this series....i can't say too much as i'll be giving it away. But hey on the plus side, for once things turn out well for Lynn, and she is very very happy woman!! Bless (i keep wanting to say that when i think of Lynn!!!)

***WOULD I RECOMMEND***
Ahh well thats obvious....of course i would, as some of you may well be aware by now...i love Alan Partridge (Steve Coogan). This is classic comedy, perfect for a some giggles and a great excuse to laugh at somebody, even if it's just because of their mannerisms and the way they talk. There are many many classic quotes in this series...i would even go as far as to say that this series even beats the first by a mile!!! If you've got series one, but not this your missing out. If you've not yet experienced the delights of AP, just take a look....yes it's not the newest comedy out there, and totally daft, but god it is a classic!!! You could even watch it on mute and just laugh at his face!!! Never actually done that mind you!!!
Many thanks for your time you sexy people!!! xXx

Advantages: Lovely stuff - not my words michael, but the words of shakin' stevens.... Disadvantages: First series is marginally better, you'll be quoting it to people who don't have a clue what you're talking about
Advantages: Superb to see Partridge back on the screen. Brillant one liners, and the character of Alan is as usual top notch. Disadvantages: Dry storylines (but perhaps with reason). High expectations piled upon it because of it's predecessors.
