Advantages: Demonstates the first form and the less known Arrow punch form. Disadvantages: The instructions are given via voice over.
...This dvd teaches the beginning syllabus for the WingChun system in the Lee Shing lineage. The dvd is split into several chapters each describing a different aspect of the WingChun style.
The dvd begins with some basic exercises and body conditioning techniques and then shows all the moves needed for the beginning level of WingChun. The first form of WingChun "Sil Lim Tao" is then demonstrated and shown slowly with instructions to help you learn the form. The applications of this form are then shown to help you understand the purpose of the first form.
The "Arrow Punch" form is then demonstrated at full speed and then slowly with instructions to aid in the learning process. The dvd then shows sparring techniques.

Advantages: All techniques taught, easy to learn and understand. Disadvantages: None...
...should be done. The dvd also has a section on the applications where Master Wong will demonstrate the purpose of every technique in the form so that it can be easily understood why you perform each move.
The form however is a lot different from most WingChun lineages but as there are many branches of WingChun all with there own unique system and differences in their forms I didn't find it to be a problem. Master Wong teaches this system with a modern edge and you can see that he is a good martial artist by how he talks and his demonstrations.
The actors in this dvd are all wearing full body armor so all of the techniques and sparring is done with full contact to help you to see how the technique actually works.
The bonus section contains a video of his class and other dvds that he offers.
Overall I thought this dvd was well produced...

Advantages: Great fun, what a laugh! Disadvantages: Very cringeworthy!
...juice on it to name a few. The 'Bono' storyline is funny and well played out.
Alan Wide Shut: The last episode and a classic. Saying goodbye to the builders and his book you really feel for Alan. He still manages to insult about 50 Baptists and Tara in true Alan style. There are some good one liners in this episode too.
DVD Features
The menu is Alan dancing around his caravan playing air guitar. It's brilliant!
Disk One features the episodes and has a play all function along with episode and scene selection.
Disk Two features:
Anglian Lives: Alan Partridge, a spoof TV docu-interview with Alan Partridge. It's very well presented and shot it could almost be real. We learn his middle name is Gordon. We learn about his early presenting jobs and it shows some old footage from Knowing Me, Knowing You and why it was cancelled...
