...This dvd teaches the beginning syllabus for the Wing Chun system in the Lee Shing lineage. The dvd is split into several chapters each describing a different aspect of the Wing Chun style. The dvd begins with some basic exercises and body conditioning techniques and then shows all the moves needed for the beginning level of Wing Chun. The first form of Wing Chun "Sil Lim Tao" is then demonstrated and shown slowly with instructions to help you learn the form. The applications of this form are then shown to help you understand the purpose of the first form. The "Arrow Punch" form is then demonstrated at full speed and then slowly with instructions to aid in the learning process. The dvd then shows sparring techniques. The dvd also has a section on the applications where Master Wong will demonstrate the purpose of every technique in the form so that it can be easily understood why you perform each move. The form however is a lot different from most Wing Chun lineages but as there are many branches of Wing Chun all with there own unique system and differences in their forms I didn't find it to be a problem. Master Wong teaches this system with a modern edge and you can see that he is a good martial artist by how he talks and his demonstrations. The actors in this dvd are all wearing full body armor so all of the techniques and sparring is done with full contact to help you to see how the technique actually works. The bonus section contains a video of his class and other dvds that he offers. Overall I thought this dvd was well produced... Read review

Advantages: Great Fight scenes

...This is one of the best in martial arts titles. The story line is compelling as our the charecters in thh movie. Thsis film is perfect for anyone who is martial arts fan espically those who practice Wing Chun Kung Fu as the film is based on the combat. Yuen Bio is espicially good as he plays the role of a rich fighter who has his fights fixed so not to get hurt, he goes under the wing of the wing chun master who teaches him the sacred art of the Kung Fu.This is one of the few martial arts titles that you can watch over and over due to high paced fight scenes and and twists and turns in the plot....
