Aladdin's Magic Lamp DVD

...This has to be one of my favourite Disney films, an animated film, full of mystery, songs, fantasy and some comedy. Althogh i've enjoy most Disney films, and still watch them now whic my sister, because of there light hearted stories, Aladdin is one of the ones which stand out above the rest. PLOT Aladdin in a street rat, who steals alongside his faithful monkey Abu, meets and falls in love with Princess Jasmine, who is tired of living in the Palace and needs to marry before her next birthday. By order of Jafar (sultans advisor) Aladdin is thrown in jail, once inside he meets a frail old man (jafar in disguise) who will tell Aladdin how to escape if he get the magic lamp from a cave. Aladdin is allowed to go inside the cave because he is true at heart, whereas Jafar is pure evil. The cave is full of riches, but Aladdin is only allowed... Read review

Advantages: great for all the family

...This has got to be one of Disney's best films. The story of Aladdin is brought to life with the fantasitc vocal talents of Robin Williams as the Genie. The Story Aladdin is a street kid, who finds a magic lamp that when rubbed, a genie will grant you any three wishes you want. The one wish Aladdin wants is for the Princess to love him, but that' a wish the Genie is forbidden to grant. So, Aladdin must find a way to get near hear and win her heart... The Graphics Absolutely fantasitc. Despite being ten years old, the graphics can still put some of the cartoons of today to shame. The best ones have got to be in the Cave of Wonders when the lava is closing in. The Characters Aladdin A poor begger boy - known as a street rat. Along with his pet monkey, the dodge the guards and steel food from the local market stalls. He falls in love... Read review

Disadvantages: None, as long as you're a kid at heart!

...be married off before her fast approaching birthday. Knowing this, the Sultan is becoming increasingly desperate and relying more and more on his main advisor, the sorcerer Jafar. Jafar has only his own interests at heart, however, and is determined to become more and more powerful. To achieve this, he tracks down the whereabouts of a hidden cave in the desert full of riches. But he is not interested in the piles of gold and precious jewels. He wants the lamp within which lies all the power he could ever dream of. But Jafa himself can not enter this place as he is not "true of heart" and using his magic, finds that the only one that can make it in to steal the lamp for him is Aladdin. As such, he orders the Palace Guards to hunt him down. In the meantime, Princess Jasmine has decided to leave the palace, climbing the incredibly high walls... Read review
