Aladdin / Three Musketeers / Robin Hood DVD

...This has got to be one of Disney's best films. The story of Aladdin is brought to life with the fantasitc vocal talents of Robin Williams as the Genie. The Story Aladdin is a street kid, who finds a magic lamp that when rubbed, a genie will grant you any three wishes you want. The one wish Aladdin wants is for the Princess to love him, but that' a wish the Genie is forbidden to grant. So, Aladdin must find a way to get near hear and win her heart... The Graphics Absolutely fantasitc. Despite being ten years old, the graphics can still put some of the cartoons of today to shame. ...wish, to resue him from the sea. Aladdin returns and tells the Sultan what Jafar, what Jafar tried to do, but he disapears before he could be arrested. Aladdin tells the Genie he can't wish him free, he needs to remain a Prince for Jasmine, so the Genie returns to his lamp in anger. But Jafar's parrot Iago steals the lamp and gives it to Jafar. Jafar firstly wishes to become a powerful sorcerer and then he wishes to be Sultan. Aladdin is shocked to find that Jasmine and the former Sultan Jafar's slaves. Aladdin tries to steal the lamp but Jafar turns into a huge Cobra and fights Aladdin. So Aladdin tricks Jafar into turning himself into a genie, as soon as he does, he disappears into a lamp and Aladdin wishes the Genie free. ...While Robin Hood is always the big motion picture epic that everyone remembers from the early 90's there was another from Walt Disney that maybe isn't so well remembered. It is of course the Hollywood version of the classic tale of The Three Musketeers. In fact even Brian Adams appeared on the soundtrack for this movie but these days only Prince of Thieves seems to be trotted out every year onto tele. At the time though I did really enjoy The Three Musketeers and in fact when I spotted it on DVD just after I bought my first player it was one of the first films I purchased. This is a Disney rework of the classic Dumas novel of the same name in which 3 members of the disbanded Kings guard (Sutherland, Sheen and Platt), link up with a brave young man who whished to join them (Chris O'Donnell) to once again save the kings life.
