Advantages: Best Season of best TV drama series
Disadvantages: Not suitable for those of a delicate nature

...of the main reasons season 2 becomes such addictive viewing, when I first purchased this Box set I watched all 13 episodes within a week, never quite knowing what to expect next. If the writing is superior in this season compared to season 1 then the acting is equally as good, James Gandolfini is again outstanding as Tony Soprano acting Boss of a New Jersey crime family, he deservedly won the Emmy for best actor in a drama series for this season. Gandolfini is always mesmerising on screen his character can flip between being totally repulsive to completely charming within a single scene, however much you want to dislike him you always find yourself empathising with him as the pressures of his double life reach boiling point. ...' Dudley Michael Rapaport as Tom "Scoggs" Scoggins Stellan Skarsgård as Jim Whitlock Samuel L. Jackson as Russell Franklin Jacqueline McKenzie as Janice Higgins Aida Turturro as Brenda Kerns Janice Higgins Jacqueline McKenzie(kiss kiss bang bang) the sentimental scientist. A bit too moony for me, not a strong character.You know she's going to be the one screaming when the sushi hits the conveyor belt Sherman "Preacher" Dudley The whole religion side of the character is completely unnecessary I thought. He provides a bit of comic relief with his pet parrot and cheeky wise cracks, adequate acting for a rapper- haven't seen any other films of his so I cant compare.
