Frankie Muniz reprises his role as teenage CIA agent Cody Banks in this sequel directed by Kevin Allen (THE BIG TEASE, TWIN TOWN). Cody's parents believe that he is having a...
more...blissful summer as a counselor at sleep-away camp. Little do they know that Kamp Woody is really a secret CIA training camp for kids, and that their sixteen-year old son has been sent to London to track down the camp's director, Diaz (Keith Allen), a demoted agent with a diabolical plot. Diaz is planning to join forces with British aristocrat Lord Duncan Kenworth (James Faulkner) and take control of the world using stolen mind control software implanted in the teeth of world leaders. Dispatched to London to foil Diaz's plan, Banks is provided with an array of cool gadgets, such as explosive Mentos (minty sweets) and a tooth brace that doubles as a tracking device, as well as a fully loaded black London cab that James Bond would love. Meanwhile, lovely Emily (Hannah Spearitt) from Scotland Yard's teen training division is on the case as well. Anthony Anderson plays Derek, an agent who is assigned to assist Banks during his London adventure.

This DVD is a follow on from the original Cody Banks which my children did enjoy. The original film portrayed the life of a child CIA agent and the scrapes and cases he worked on and this film is a follow on.

The story is set in London after Cody was sent on assignment to find an errant former agent who had nasty plans up his sleeve to take over the world with the aid of a device implanted in World Leaders that made them do his bidding.

Cody's cover means he has to go to a musical school where there just so happens to be a Scotland Yard agent (also undercover but a lot better musician!)

Fun and games entail including the use of a brace that transmits, sweets that explode and other Spy items and eventually Cody's cover is blown.

Hysterical scenes then follow with the usual smart fights, comical dialogue and of course the required smashing of pottery and china.

Frankie Muniz plays Cody Banks very well with perfect comic delivery and the expressions to go with it.

Hannah Spearitt (of S club Fame) does well in her role as the Teen division Scotland Yard agent and the boys in my family certainly enjoyed seeing her on the screen.

Keith Allen ( the errant CIA agent) is perfectly suited to the role and on that basis I would hope to see him in more films.

All in all, it is an entertaining movie and one the children will enjoy but only the younger ones, I think the teens might find it a little over the top
