Advantages: Another great loco programme Disadvantages: None
...This DVD follows the steam locomotive King Edward I. According to the sleeve notes, the DVD is the most comprehensive ever coverage of a steam rail journey, because of the amazing number of lineside locations employed in the filming of the journey. A staggering total of 50 individual camera locations! Not to mention the hours and hours that were recorded on the train itself and helicopter-based camera crews, too.
The DVD is produced by Green Umbrella and has exactly the same rigorous and sympathetic production values as the other videos in the series Classic Steam Trains. (Please see my other review for those comments.)
In June 1999 the Great Western Locomotive, 6024 King Edward I was deployed to take a special rail tour from London to Bristol and then back as far as Didcot. Due to having to keep to a relatively high speed to keep up...

Advantages: Real Aircraft, Stunning Photography Disadvantages: Marital sub plots
...I bought this DVD some months ago mainly because the kids were doing WW2 as a project at school and I remember it being a good film of my youth. Needless to say I rediscovered the quality of the film and as a bonus the kids loved it which kept them quiet for a couple of hours.

I have to say the side plots of marital problems lacked quality but thankfully they only took up a minor portion of the film.
The real stars of the film are the (now) vintage aircraft, remembering that this is years before CGI so what you are seeing are real aeroplanes...

A Private Enterprise Review ofThe Forgotten Bomber The Story Of The Blenheim Bomberby
SteveMason77
Advantages: Accurate Facts Disadvantages: not much use to people not into Warbirds

Little did he know that Trouble was brewing in Mainland Europe and his Creation would go on to serve in all three main theatres of action in World War II.
Yet, as the Title of the DVD States, the Blenheim is the "Forgotten Bomber" as virtually no-one remembers the Aircrafts contribution to the Defense of This Country.
On the Blenheims First test flight it proved itself so fast at over 300mph it left the R.A.F.s Front line fighters standing as it outran them by 50mph. Lord Rothermere had named...
