What The Wizard Of Oz has to offer is basically a little something for everyone - from wonderfully strange lands, many fun and scary moments, a positivley dazzling and delightful array of fairy tale characters and some fabulous numbers. Whilst Dorothy begins her adventures along the yellow brick road, the film holds many fun, light-hearted moments though the mood considerably darkens when Dorothy is captured by the winged monkeys and is taken to the Wicked Witch of the Wests eerie looking castle where she is held prisoner. Advantages: Lots of extra items on dvd

...League of extraordinary gentlemen is a good film for anyone who enjoys action and adventure films, it stars actors new and old, sean connery and shane west. The preformance of the actors in this film is good but throughout the film there is a bit too much reliance on CGI. Though it doesnt really ruin the film, i would still recommend it and i would definately pay to see it at the cinema and i have the dvd, which contains alot of extra features, including deleted scenes. I think the storyline of the film is great as it includes characters such as the invisible man, dr.jekyl and mr.hyde, agent tom sawyer, draculas wife and many more. if you buy the dvd i would say its money well spent!... Advantages: suspenseful, thrilling, well acted
Disadvantages: disturbing

...heightens the tension to almost unbearable proportions. He also uses the hidden depths of the surrounding woods and hills to their full effect in the film's most tense and disturbing scenes. Boorman also uses symbolism to raise the intellectual level of the film, appealing to all tastes. Deliverance can be watched purely as an action thriller, but can also be read on other levels. It works brilliantly as a representation of the early pioneers battle with nature as they traveled the land of America and attempted to tame it. It also reminds me of the battles between the old and the new that exist in so much Steinbeck. There are many memorable scenes in the movie, the dueling banjos being probably the most famous, and many memorable images that stay in the mind long after the film is over.
