Main Cast: Arnold Schwarenegger, Robert Duvall, Michael Rapaport, Wendy Crewson, Tony Goldwyn
Genre: Sci-Fi / Action
Plot
In the cliched Sci-Fi setting of the near future, cloning technology has advanced to the stage whee some scientists claim that complete human cloning is possible, however this is still technically illegal.
That does not stop a sinister corporation headed by a man like Michael Drucker (Goldwyn) though and when good everyday american family man and ex-US Air Force pilot Adam Gibson (Schwarzenegger) comes home from work one day to find that a clone has replaced him.
If that is not enough there are also a number of assasins keen to wipe out the remaining evidence, otherwise known as Gibson's life. He must struggle not only ...
Advantages: hilarious, Atkinson is a comedy genius Disadvantages: only 3 episodes, expensive way to get the whole set
Having only made 13 episodes you would think it would be easy enough to release the wholebox set as a complete and more cost effective production. But no, because we are english, we are 'rich' and can afford to splash out on the indivual DVD's, and of course we can wait whilst each is brought out at two month intervals. Appologies for the rant, but it's a good introduction as to why I have had to review one volume at a time. I do hope you enjoy reading about it.

Advantages: Action Disadvantages: This isn't 'The Terminator'
of the car of his favouriteaction hero Jack Slater.
Danny is in Slater's movie world, but Slater doesn't actually know he's living in a movie world -- he just thinks he's that damn good at killing everyone in reality. When he is forced to enter the real world he finds out that things work a lot differently (apparently, it does hurt when you punch through glass!)
Last Action Hero is basically a movie within a movie, which attempts to blur the lines between reality and fantasy. While this may not sound like anything new or exciting to most viewers, it does at least allow for some great moments of action and comedy. There's a particularly memorable moment where Arnie walks into a video store and notices a cardboard cut-out for Terminator 2, which stars *ahem* Sylvester Stallone.
As far as characters go, Arnie is particularly hilarious in his self ...
