One of the best action films of the 80s

Great Action Movie

Advantages: The actors, storyline, length of the movie
Disadvantages: None

Well this has to be one of the best if not the best action movie i have seen, none others compare to it out there. The way the movie is planned out and the story line unfolds is gripping and the director has done a excellent job. There is not a lot of blood in this movie but its rated 18 because of the language and some scences of violence and the story line. The main characters play their roles superbly its one of Bruce Willis's best performances. ...
...and i couldnt stop watching it. I really enjoyed this and as soon as i saw it i went and bought it on DVD as soon as it was out it is now one of my all time favourites. If you like action movies then you must watch this as im certain you will enjoy it. ...

Die Hard with tumbleweed - literally gave me nightmares

Advantages: Stylish, ultimately moral
Disadvantages: Make sure the kids are asleep before watching

I'm feeling quite smug because it had occurred to me that this isn't a gangster movie. John Smith (Bruce Willis) arrives like a time-traveller to what is clearly the 19th century wild west, but with prohibition. Then reading the review by jpegington I found out this is indeed a remake of a Clint Eastwood movie. ...violent film that more than lives up to its 18 rating. Not because the violence is gory, but because it is unrelenting. I honestly did have nightmares after viewing this. On the other hand like many uber violent movies it could be argued that this is a very moral film because it underlines the pointlessness of it all. Willis as so often surprisingly good. Full Throttle, it certainly is!

Review of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (DVD)

Die Hard - I should not have left it so long!

Advantages: Gripping and clever story
Disadvantages: Can't think of any really

...only just watched the first Die Hard, but I really did not think it was my type of film....oh how wrong I was. Thbe complexity behind the story in this film is fantastic. Bruce Willis plays John McClane, an exceedingly credible cocky cop! He goes to meet his estranged wife at her office party and their is a hold up, he manages to hide and avoid being taken to the main area where everyone is being held.
