It's the launch party for the newly constructed, 138 storey skyscraper in the centre of San Francisco, supposedly the world's tallest skyscraper. Review of The Towering Inferno (DVD)

Easy to watch, fabulous action film.

Advantages: Good plot, action scenes are realistic,as is plot. Fantastic soundtrack.
Disadvantages: Not on long enough!

The Delta Force is all about a plane getting hijacked by a group of militant arabs. The hijackers treat the planes passengers like dirt and some are left dead. This is where the Delta Force comes in. The Delta Force are an elite group - like the SAS. It is their job to free as many of the passengers off the plane. This film has it all, action, adventure, emotion and a stark reminder of the amount of these types of hikackings that was prevelant in the 70's and 80's. Some of the shooting scenes are a little corny in that Chuck Norris seems to doge every bullet, but then again - every film needs its hero.... BULLITT STEVE MCQUEEN DVD (1968)

Advantages: THE VERY BEST CAR CHASE SEEN ON EARTH
Disadvantages: THE GREEN BEETLE

Bullitt is the film, the Mustang for me is the show, when you talk about Car Chase's theres only one that really stands out for me yes I Know about Ronin, The Italian Job, French Connection, Taxi ect, all had great in car moments but Steve Mcqueen in a Mustang 68'gt on the streets of San Francisco in the 60's chasing the baddies is for me complete and utter octane. Bullitt did win an Oscar but sadly not for the Car chase action but for best Film Editing which brings me back to the Great Chase, if you have watched it i.e the chase scene as much as me (probably over 500 times and wearing out VHS's and DVD players) you will notice a green VW Beetle Steve passes several times. Now if that films won an Oscar for best Editing (the green VW beetle) surely theres been a mistake just look ...

Faster Than a Speeding Bullet (Ehh...Bullitt)

Advantages: A solid late 1960's movie. That totally incredible car chase sequence
Disadvantages: Very poor storyline. Now a little dated.

Review of Bullitt (Special Edition) (DVD)

Pootie is Pitiful

Advantages: Chris Rock!
Disadvantages: The rest of the movie

I was so disappointed with this movie. It tried so hard to be humorous, and in my eyes failed miserably. It is all about a boy who when born doesn't talk like the rest of us. He has his own language, which for some reason makes him irresistable to woman, even as a teenager, he had grown women, throwing themselves at his feet (which was a bit strange.) He becomes majorly popular, and everyone wants to be him! A company tries to hire him to advertise ...
...to work for them, however in a slightly samson and delila way, when his belt is removed he looses all his power to a woman, and it all goes wrong! This movie cold have been so good. The story line was interesting enough for me to want to rent it, however I was very disappointed! The timing on punchlines was way off, and jokes were stretched way past their comfort zones.
