The Irish Bond.
Advantages: All of the Brosnan films in one box with decent extra's. Disadvantages: Product placement gets worse by the last film!!
...after the last Bond film, James Bond returned in Bond 17.
----The Films----
GoldenEye (1995)
This was the first vehicle that Brosnan appeared in and for me this is probably the better out the four films he made. It is moody, dramatic and will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Although in some places it does step up toi the line of unbelievable it does not cross it to the extent that a film like Charlie's Angels did.

The weapon itself explodes a nuclear bomb in space and uses the electro magnetic pulse to wipe out anything below within a 30 mile radius, effectively eliminating the use of all electrical equipment.
The cast is made up of multi national actors, Sean Bean as 006, Joe Don ...

Typical 80's action
Advantages: Some tension, funny at times Disadvantages: Clunky dialogue, too long
...to catch this maniac…
Deadly Pursuit is a typical 80’s action movie that I had never heard of until a few days ago when it was showing on BBC1 late one night and decided that as I had nothing better to do I would sit down and watch it. Not expecting a lot from it, the only way was up for this film as I was expecting to turn it off half way through due to boredom. I’ve never really been a fan of 80’s action films as most of them are absolutely dreadful, ... ...Terminator), unfortunately Deadly Pursuit (also known as Shoot To Kill) doesn’t live up to two of the best known films of all time but it certainly didn’t have me dying of boredom either which in my eyes makes it a relative success.
Deadly pursuit begins well and keeps the audience guessing, with the opening sequence in the jewellery store and the suspicious man that takes the film in a completely different direction, the opening scenes had me hooked ...

"They'll print anything these days!"
Advantages: Great fun at its best Disadvantages: Becomes a bit mechanical after a while
Tomorrow Never Dies was first released in 1997 and is the eighteenth James Bond film and the second to feature Pierce Brosnan in the iconic role. The plot of the film revolves around a media mogul called Elliot Carver (Jonathan Pryce) attempting to start a new world conflict to boost his television empire. Carver wants exclusive broadcast rights to China and believes a war will be the best way to eliminate the obstinate Chinese politicians who are ... ...The end result is that Tomorrow Never Dies is a game of two halves. The first hour is brash and entertaining with some stylish and inventive Bondian moments whereas the second half of the film is less inspired with a surfeit of increasingly repetitive action to plug the gaps in the story.
The PTS of the film is good fun as usual. Bond goes undercover at a 'terrorist arms bazaar' on the Russian border and ends up having to pilot a jet loaded with ...

Tomorrow is just another day for Bond
Advantages: Great modern work all round Disadvantages: Ever so slightly lacks Cubby Broccoli's magic
Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) is the 18th Bond film, and the second starring Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. Brosnan's first outing as Bond in Goldeneye in 1995 was a great success following a 6 year gap since Timothy Dalton's Bond in Licence to Kill in1989. Goldeneye bridged the gap following the end of the Cold War and the reduction of Soviet villains for Bond, and paved the way for a more modern Bond dealing with more topical issues, as we see here ... ...Goldeneye. While there was success, Tomorrow Never Dies did not rise straight to the top of the box office chart as it was released on the same day as Titanic - not necessarily an error on anyone's part, for who would have thought anything else could have outsold a Bond film? But it did, even though the total amount taken at the box office was more than Goldeneye.
Bond musical legend John Barry again opted out of adapting music for the film, but ...

The Complete James Bond, 'No Mr. Bond, I expect you to buy...'
Advantages: Good collection of films, iconic characters, stylish presentation Disadvantages: Out-dated in its collection
THE JAMES BOND COMPLETE COLLECTION
I brought this a while back and I must say it is excellent. The presentation is top-notch, the silver briefcase just about the coolest DVD container in the world. It chronicles every film from Sean Connery's 'Dr. No' to the more recent Pierce Brosnan outing 'Die Another Day'. Of course it does not hold the newest additions, Daniel Craig's 'Casino Royale' and 'Quantum of Solace' but as these are generally new in ... ...watch, if not always for the story then definitely for the generational features. Think Roger more in his 70s safari suit, Sean Connery in his trilby. And then of course you have the women.
The big downside to this box set, of course, is that there's always going to be more James Bond films. It may not be in date for very long. Also the price is fairly steep, yet is falling due to the release of newer additions.
Despite this, in my opinion you ...
