A Great Film, Arnie's acting as Quade/Hauser is flawless perfect for the part of someone on the run. This film has everything car chases, women fighting, lots of mindless destruction, explosions, and best of all just the right amount of cheesiness. Played on surround there's a part where a telepath is reading Quade's mind repeatedly saying Open your mind.... sends shivers down the spine. Starts out as an average looking film straight into action ...
...move on some unfortunate baddie. Once the plot begins to unfold there are so many twists it leaves your mind spinning, but still I found the story easy to follow. Ronny Cox plays villain Cohaagen, and plays a megalomaniac crazy for control and power very well indeed. Rachel Ticotin plays Melina, with whom Quaid is supposed to have had a relationship during one of his undercover missions as a secret agent. The actress combines very well with Arnie. ...now find myself having watched Hancock awarding the movie the highest accolade I can by stating that of the movies so far, Hancock is the best movie of 2008. I avoided everything I possibly could to do with Hancock because to be honest the trailer failed to impress me. ...the terrible mistakes which were Batman and Robin and Batman Forever. This time the costumes were good, the acting was good, and I actually enjoyed Katie Holmes in it even though for some reason I have been a bit prejudiced to her since Dawson's Creek and several other teenage movies she starred in in that era.
