Waterworld sank, didn't it?

Advantages: Harmless fun, passes the time, gets a thumbs up from me!
Disadvantages: Below par

a duma classic remade for hollywood

Advantages: good cast and sets retains core ideas of the book
Disadvantages: cant think of any

...thankfully this film does do the book justice and this too is one of my favourite films. it captures the main themes of betrayal and revenge well from the dumas classic but is not completely faithful to the book. this is excusable as anyone who has read the book will know that it is very long far to drawn out for a movie. the added scenes do keep with the story and it is very clever the way they have invented these scenes whilst remaining true to ...

Tristan and Isolde,

Advantages: an enjoyable plot and convincing dialogue well executed, good photography and direction.
Disadvantages: historically and politically naive
