Spider, The Trilogy... Light-hearted fun

Advantages: Kid friendly, easy top watch, likable hero
Disadvantages: 20 minutes of the third film are BAD. Not very scary.

This series is less dark than many of the other comic book movies. The sort of thing you don't even hesitate to let your kids watch. My 8 year old sister loves these movies. The first film shows the making of spiderman, with the Green Goblin as his main enemy. It follows the comic books pretty closely and Kirsten Dunst is a lovely MJ. Maguire is good as spiderman because he's not got the cool factor, which suits the character. The biggest difference ...
...second film has Dr Octopus as the villain, leading to a lot of nice stunts using those mechanical arms to climb buildings and so forth. The third film has a 20 minute period in the middle with 'evil spider man' that is just wrong, appalling and should be deleted. Review of Spider-Man Trilogy (Blu-ray) (Box Set)

Great Action Movie

Advantages: The actors, storyline, length of the movie
Disadvantages: None

Well this has to be one of the best if not the best action movie i have seen, none others compare to it out there. The way the movie is planned out and the story line unfolds is gripping and the director has done a excellent job. There is not a lot of blood in this movie but its rated 18 because of the language and some scences of violence and the story line. The main characters play their roles superbly its one of Bruce Willis's best performances. ...
...and i couldnt stop watching it. I really enjoyed this and as soon as i saw it i went and bought it on DVD as soon as it was out it is now one of my all time favourites. If you like action movies then you must watch this as im certain you will enjoy it. ...

East meets West to kick butt

Advantages: Great on screen relationship, great stunts, comical and very entertaining

Best of British???

Advantages: good acting and story
Disadvantages: Very violent at times

I have seen this film many years ago now but never really followed what was going on as it did not appeal to me. For some reason hubby decided that he wanted to re watch it so out came the DVD and I was expecting another night of boredom but I can say that after sitting and watching it properly I did actually manage to follow the story and did quite enjoy it. . Advantages: Ebtertaining, great one liners, awesome on screen relationship, funny, action packed
