Advantages: Four diffrent clever plots
Disadvantages: Not what I was hoping for (bit of a let down)

Advantages: Very well produced
Disadvantages: One-watch movie

...the BBC2 premiere of 2005's Sin City tonight with no aspirations for what the film should be like or for what the storyline should be, infact the only thing I knew about the film was that it was a pretty big deal and featured a very artistic taste of cinematography that I didn't think I would take to.. but more on that later on. I felt that the amount of promotion going into this premiere, and the fact that it couldn't make it on to a lot on BBC1 ...
...for the movie, however giving Sin City a chance I soon realised that this introduction had no baring on the rest of the movie. I soon realised that Sin City was actually a bunch of little stories set on a popular comic book series by Frank Miller that have of course been brought to the big screen by Quentin Tarantino. Advantages: The best movie of 2008...... So far
Disadvantages: It needed to be longer, if thats a flaw

...now find myself having watched Hancock awarding the movie the highest accolade I can by stating that of the movies so far, Hancock is the best movie of 2008. I avoided everything I possibly could to do with Hancock because to be honest the trailer failed to impress me. ..."Super Heroes". Hancock's superhero John Hancock (Will Smith) is not the traditional form of hero, he is an alcoholic, is verbally abusive, and has an appetite for destruction. While he wants to do good, nothing is ever quite thought through enough, while he might stop a group of armed thieves he may very well destroy half the city doing so. Advantages: Better acting than Batman Forever and Batman and Robin, better costuming
Disadvantages: none that I can see

...the terrible mistakes which were Batman and Robin and Batman Forever. This time the costumes were good, the acting was good, and I actually enjoyed Katie Holmes in it even though for some reason I have been a bit prejudiced to her since Dawson's Creek and several other teenage movies she starred in in that era. As for the plot of the show, it's exactly like what the name suggests. It's about how Batman was made. I say buy it ;) ... Read review

Advantages: Will smith, good film all together
Disadvantages: Not brilliant.

...So when I heard about Hancock and the brief plot, I was intrigued to say the least. Here is what Hancock is about. Plot John Hancock is a miserable, alcoholic superhero who attempts to save lives at his own choice but due to the fact he's flying whilst drunk, he's caused the city millions and millions of dollars in damage. One day Hancock saves a guy called Ray, who has a dream to save the world, and sees something in Hancock that no one else sees. ...
...for the better. Is it any good? I went in expecting not a lot, and about ten minutes in I turned to my mum and pretty much told her exactly what the twist was and how it was going to end. About half way through I got slapped, due to the fact I had managed to pretty much describe the whole thing. In my eyes' it's very predictable, however I really enjoyed it.
