Fans of the books may be a little confused by the fact that ideas were taken from each of the books and the original timeline has been messed about with. I haven't read the book this DVD is taken from but I have however seen most if not all of the Sharpe series on the Television and I also have a few of the full length VHS tapes. Its the same old subject matter to any great film, book or series, an action hero who is not perfect but always manages to get the girl in end.
