No Moore please, this one bored the Living Daylights Out of Me!
Advantages: Erm................good theme tune Disadvantages: Weak acting, story was far fetched at time, bad effects and fight scenes
Well it seems quite strange to say that hubby chose this film as it does not star John Wayne but I have to say I think I would have perhaps preferred him to this drivel I had to endure. Roger Moore takes on the role of 007, James Bond in this film. He is set to uncover the mysterious deaths of 005 and 006 and soon he finds he is tracking a drug lord. He stars off in New York where he is chased and threaten but during this he meets Solitaire, a tarot ... ...things which are about to happen, who he instantly find attractive. Bond soon finds his investigations lead him to Louisiana’s Bayou Country where he uncovers some very powerful men and again he meets Solitaire and vows to help her escape from the Drug Lord. Will Bond be able to save himself from the drug Lord and his men and will he be able to help Solitaire?
Now I know the plot summery which I have been given sound very brief but taking away Bond ...

...team up to race in the Cannonball run. With numerous different teams entering the competition is high! Created by Hal Needham the director of Smokey And The Bandit in which he worked with Burt Reynolds twice in 1977 and 1980 with the first two Bandit films. Working together again they produce another adrenalling rushing film full of car racing and car chasing antics!

Roger Moore's last outing as Bond at 57!!!
Advantages: Great fast paced action Disadvantages: Moore too old, too much killing
...003's corpse, Bond picks up a microchip which is an exact replica of one manufactured by Zorin Industries, owned by the eccentric businessman, Max Zorin. Bond goes undercover to meet Zorin and finds out that he is producing a revolutionary microchip, and that in order to conquer the microchip market, he is planning to destroy Silicon Valley through a series of earthquakes. Bond must team up with oil company owner Stacey Sutton to take on Zorin, his ... ...ease.
Patrick Macnee gives a good turn as a very British horse trainer, Sir Godfrey Tibbett, and Tanya Roberts is good as Bond girl Stacey Sutton, as is Fiona Fullerton as Pola Ivanova. David Yip has a cameo performance. Robert Brown, Desmond Llewelyn and Lois Maxwell return as M, Q and Miss Moneypenny, and the rest of the cast support admirably.
My Opinion
The soundtrack to this Bond ilm haunts me, probably due to the title track, performed by ...

On a Quest to find something worth watching, maybe?
Advantages: The fighting Disadvantages: Everything else
...has made some howlers, but the one thing that remains impressive throughout his films, as far as I am concerned, is the level of fight choreography.
A trained martial artist, JC makes sure there are at least some elements of his films that are entertaining, and The Quest is no exception. It starts off with an old guy (JC) walking into a bar and foiling a robbery with what is supposed to be incredible martial arts. It the reverts to him telling the ... ...set in the 1920s, where he managed to enter an invitation only tournament in order to win a load of money for the homeless kids back in New York.
The film focuses too much on the back story in the early parts, and while it shows the progression of fighting skills, it dawdles too much on this and leaves not enough time for actual fighting. What we see of the fighting skills is impressive. The inclusion of a world wide invitation gives us a chance ...

Takes a giant leap for mankind
Advantages: Roger Moores biggest adventure as Bond Disadvantages: Made in 1979, looks dated in parts
...that had not been used, Moonraker seemed the most appropriate for the time.
---The Source---
The title comes from Ian Flemings’ third Bond novel. Moonraker was released in April 1955. In the story Bond is asked, as a personal favour to M, to expose a member of the exclusive gentlemen's club called Blades, this person is suspected of cheating at cards. The man’s name is Hugo Drax; he is the Head of Britain's Moonraker rocket program. The stakes ... ...the end of the Inside Moonraker documentary there are a number of bloopers shown, which are quite rare. It also discusses the fact that this was the first time that a Bond production was based outside of Pinewood Studios; in fact this film was made mainly in France. The documentary shows what problems were faced with a different cultural way of working, and what was done to resolve the issues and move on. The documentaries that go behind the scenes ...
